  1. Fine to fit before a map, treat it same as decats / induction kit etc.

You mention the mrev again, not sure if you mean the actual mrev or are referring to the pre revup lower plenum.

If you're still in doubt about the differences, google it and check out the my350z USA forum as those guys have proved it to death.

  2. So what are you asking now, if it's worth it?

Yes would be my answer having read motordynes site and the forums for dyno results when fitted over stock.

Like anything you're best getting the remap to see real gains, some will react well without a map whereas others won't.

  3. 1 - get a non revup DE lower (few on eBay ~£40) this will give gains over yours, it's to do with the runners being longer on the earlier one giving more low down and mid range power. You can grind them down a little too and spend some time with the grinder for a few extra hp If you're fussed.

All the mrev2 is, is the earlier plenum that has has some grinding work as well. Main thing is the runner length. Google images will show you this better.

2 - just get the standard size plenum spacer. You will have no strut brace issues and it's tried and tested, the 1/2" or whatever one only gives slightly more power and that's way up the rev range.

Standard steering wheel, removed due to fitting aftermarket. Does not include airbag or the cruise switches as I have kept them to refit the cruise. This means I cut the two cruise wires from the harness (as shown), easy 30 second job to resolder the wires back if you have a cruise model. One airbag bolt hole is slightly larger due to being drilled out, will be fine with a small washer. Ideal for a retrim possibly or I'll bin it.

  5. I've just re-plumbed my system, removing my second sandwich plate and utilising the blanked off plug on the DE engine. For any one else wanting to do the same the thread is M12x1.5 :)

I did this a few months ago after messaging abbey, since found I had high temps on track (no cooler so no surprise).

Since got in touch with opie oils and they recommend always measuring the bulk oil temp which would be from the sump.

I'm now a bit torn as I understand both sides - Nissan measure at this port which is I imagine is always going to be a hotter temp due to being a return gallery. Whereas the oil specialist (as well as other sites I've seen) say the bulk oil is more consistent and therefore accurate to measure from..
