  1. It is all the same system, I will have 5 maps available to me on the 370Z which will allow customising to however you'd like them done, but usually it's the above modes
  2. Hi Raymond, We are doing an introductory offer and it's including VAT once the offer finishes we will be in the same price range as every other dealer in the UK
  3. To celebrate becoming the first Uprev protuners in Scotland we are running an introductory offer on all new Uprev tunes. Naturally aspirated tunes including licence fee: £360 Turbo and supercharged tunes including licence fee: £675 All tuning will be carried out on our DAQ5 Dynapack hub dynamometer and all prices include VAT. No sooner than we had closed our deal with Uprev and secured a limited number of licences, then Uprev announced a price increase. We will not be able to repeat this offer so book now to take advantage
  4. The revving out of the engine is directly related to a few things but mainly it's down to bhp, so long as there's no issues with the car causing the lack of power then suitable modifications and a map to suit will help
  5. So every time you map a car you have to pay this? Every time I get a standard Z I need to use a licence to let me use Uprev to tune the car, if the car already has a licence on the ECU then the fee has been paid and the only cost to the customer is what I charge, it's not free money tho as it appears, there are other costs involved in running a dyno, 3-phase fans etc chew through electricity, water to cool the dyno is another cost too, rent, rates, taxes, wages etc etc. Once you break down the numbers there isn't a huge amount left at the end
  6. It was AME I bought my Dynapacks through so if need be I can drop them a line to get their side on how it was built. If you want to pop through one day I'll take a look over it and take it from there?
  7. Hi Octet, at the current exchange rate the license cost is $300USD which works out at just a shade under £240, usually this will be rounded up to £250 to cover admin and hope the exchange rate doesn't cause them to need to raise the prices. This. Its not a lot, you get a 'feeling' that the car is quicker and more responsive but hey placebo and all that. It's not really a placebo effect when you compare the two graphs, what you'll find that although you gain 10-20bhp peak figures at the top end the gains in the mid range and low down is what makes it feel quicker and more responsive.
  8. That does make a lot more sense, Uprev is more expensive because of the licence fee, the same as ECUTEK which is more common in the UK. As I said in my post I can't understand hexadecimal and so I need an interface, this is what Uprev have developed. If you think of it like Windows on a computer, software developers use Linux or something else which is free or you can pay for a Windows licence and you have a nice user friendly interface. The licence fee is Uprev reclaiming their research and development costs and earning a crust on top.
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome. Licence costs at the current exchange rate are £240, rounded up to 250 for admin time, this will vary with exchange rates and also depend on when we purchase than as they need to be bought in bulk. Dyno costs are charged at £66per hour including VAT at the moment, with a minimum of a 4 hour booking at a time. Is the nitrous on the swift? I have played with standalone systems but not for a while as all the local filling stations dried up and everyone sold their kits. Which Haltech is it you've got?
  10. Every car is different so there's no one hard fast rule, the Evolution Chips map is a generic modification formula that's used which is why we've invested in becoming an Uprev pro-tuner. Even with this you can't give an average gain as each car is different, you could have one with a blown gasket and your average drops, is that a true representation of gains? Jetpilot, the reason you pay ' so much' to get a car mapped is the same reason you pay ' so much' for a wedding photographer or a performer to perform at an event or show
  11. Thanks Bodyboarder81, Yeah that's the figure at the hubs running 0.6bar (8-9psi)
  12. Here's a quick video of a Stillen charged 370Z we had on our dyno recently:
  13. Well this is an interesting topic As Nissanjuke has explained, we are a dealer for Evolution chips. Why would a tuning company become a dealer for someone else and use their maps? Simple really, although I've been tuning cars for years, I have been using after market systems which put everything into clear and simple tables of what values change which parameter, when it comes to the decription of OEM ECU's all of the interfaces provide you with is thousands of lines of hexadecimal code with no markers, no axis' or it is shown as peaks and troughs in a line graph. I am a mechanic/engine calibrator, not a software engineer. I can't comment on what has happened with other Evolution dealers and their customers, as with any dealership each shop has it's own way of working and sets of circumstances, as it stands we have never had one customer return and ask to use the 30 day money back guarantee. Why would we look into becoming an Uprev pro-tuner when we have the facility to tune Z's already? As it is stated, the modifications to the files are generic and although they can be customised to suit requests it's a lot of down time and data logging rather than live custom tuning which is available using the Uprev interface. We have our own Dynapack DAQ5 hub dyno which allows us complete control over cars when they are being data logged/tuned in solid state or dynamic cycles. As there is clearly a demand for Uprev north of the border we recently returned into discussions with Uprev and are now Scotland's first Uprev pro-tuner.
  14. Hello everyone, Thought I would write up a quick post to say who we are and what we do. I'm Chris, the manager and also the mapper here at Dyna Tune. We have been trading since July 2014 after leaving another company to invest in our own Dynapack DAQ5 hub dyno. When we were planning opening we looked into becoming an Uprev tuner but it had to be put on the back burner due to other commitments.... until now... We have now re-approached Uprev and have become Scotland's first Uprev Pro tuner after familiarising ourselves with the software and capabilities on a lovely Stillen kitted 370Z. https://www.youtube....bed/CNvkTpvRIzA Since long before we even opened the doors people have asked if I tune Uprev so it has always been on the agenda, which is what brings us here. For more information on us and the work we have done feel free to look over our social media and website: http://www.dynatune.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/DynatuneUK https://twitter.com/Dyna_Tune https://plus.google....uneEastKilbride https://instagram.com/dyna.tune/
