  1. Bugger, you couldn't be much further away (Lowestoft suffolk) if you where closer, I'd definetly be coming to see you! I guess will have a bash myself, next thing is figuring where to mount the hydro itself, not too fussed about making it immaculate hidden install, but don't want it to look like it's been thrown in the car either
  2. Ah I see, when swapping the ports around so primary does fronts and secondary does rear, do you physically move/bend the oem pipes to relocate them in abs block or did you make a small copper 'bridging' pipe on each one to save doing that Ps do you fancy doing another one
  3. Thankyou for your reply, yeah I've found that guide, says to run line 1 to bmc, and line 2 to abs block, then swap 2 of the outlets around, do all Zeds have the same abs block though? I'm sure mine looks different to the one in the pics..
  4. It's a track focussed car, doesn't go on road, much . The standard cable handbrake is made of chocolate, and even with project mu brake shoes in, after a day, it's back to being a load of pony. So going for a hydro, in-line, so both cable rear handbrake, and normal function of the rear brakes will also not be affected. Apart from the abs, which will have the plug pulled, but that's overated anyway
  5. Hi all, just wondering if anyone on here in uk has done one ? After countless nights researching how to's, I have a basic knowledge and understanding of how it all works, there are a few different ways to do it, just wondering what methods people have preferred over here in U.K. as most thread are of American zed's. Just want to get one on the car as easy and stress free as possible, understand that the abs pump works in an X formation, just wondering if something like Driftworks pre made lines are long enough and would work, without spending a fortune first! Didn't want to use copper as that looks abit bodged and knowing me I would end up damaging the pipes cheers Martin
  6. Is a miltek quieter than a cobra? I have now got a decibel app to try and I guess it will give me a ball park figure to work with. need to do something about it, can't keep coming home with blood streaming from my ears whenever I drive the car
  7. Yes there is a small silencer in mid pipe, which has a slightly cracked weld. I didn't think it was a cobra as the pipe comes into the backbox from the left side, like a japspeed or cheapy Chinese one? The cobra backbox is fed from the center? Thankyou for replies So you guys reckon even with new system, the tubular manifolds certainly maybe the source of my anti social zed and I will still be left with a car that won't pass noise tests at snetterton etc
  8. I don't think I can, as the manifolds are 1 piece each, from head to y pipe. In your photo it shows the cats bolted on each side up near each side of the engine, where as with mine there are no flanges or anything for me to put cats in, it's just one piece
  9. Brilliant Thankyou for your replies, understood and I'm very grateful for your help I've had the zed for a month now, love the car, just hate what someone has done to the exhaust, and I thought the gtr was loud! Ideally I would be looking to have cats back in but with the test pipes I would have to put standard manifolds back on I guess which I don't have. So just hoping to quieten it as much as possible with new y pipe and new exhaust
  10. Sorry to sound idiotic but are test pipes another word for tubular mani? It's one piece each side from cylinder head to where y pipe start if you know what I mean? Is it unlikely to get under 105db with those particular decat manifolds?
  11. It's been attacked, there are some small cracks around welds too, and where it joins the rest of the system back, at the flange where the gasket Is, it's leaking air and condensation, even after I've fitted new gasket with sealant. Is my first stop to buy a new y pipe with flexi's in? As the while exhaust is so rigid if you know what I mean, no give at all...
  12. Y pipe flexi has broken and some one has bodged a leaky sleeve over it. I know its a crap exhaust as none of the flange faces sit square with each other, looks like it needs about 3 gaskets sandwiched at most joints to make it seal up
  13. Hi, another exhaust thread, I have done some searching on here but not found an answer Basically I bought my 350z, it sounded very loud and blowy from the exhaust, wasn't too worried as thought i can repair/replace etc. Upon inspection it looks like it has some kind of tubular manifolds, a broken japspeed y pipe, and some kind of cheap nasty y pipe back system on it... So Im thinking of getting a resonated cobra y pipe back exhaust, and maybe a new y pipe If mine won't weld. My question is, would the cobra quieten it down considerably or are the tubular manifolds where my noise problem lies, I'm looking to get on track with it and didn't want to fork out for a new y pipe back exhaust if it solves nothing and I still end up with an anti social 350z Any help would be greatly appreciated Regards Martin
  14. its like he has covered his car in pritt stick, then driven through a halfords store, and driven out the other side with everything he's ever wanted, stuck in, around, and on it. The paint is not great as is 11 years old, but it's just had a respray... and I've Never heard of a 'sebon' bonnet before
  15. I'm just sharing the information, the company can be contacted at :- info@gcfabrications.co.uk
  16. You beat me to it with the link bolts to oem seat belt mounts, and bolts to rear strut bar via existing holes
  17. Around 200 ish, very well built, looking at the companies previous work, looks excellent ! Straight bolt in fitment
  18. After searching for a while for a harness bar solution in the uk, I've found a company called GC Fabrictions that are now about to do a run of production on bolt in harness bars for the 350z. Made from 45mm CDS steel and powder coated satin black. Should be available in the next few weeks Just seen this has been said by another member in a post, no worries if people are aware just thought I'd share the info
  19. The gtr has been wrapped, it's held up fairly well. Was wrapped when new at end of 2009. I'd recommend it personally, just be careful when cleaning
  20. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, would those ultralites both fit on rear, obviously the 9.5 j does but would the 8.5j too ?
  21. They sound ideal, will they fit without spacers and not foul the arches? Just abit of a bugger that your so far away
