  1. So today I stripped back the brakes I installed 1000 miles ago to check on wear and also apply some more copper ease as I was experiencing infrequent squeaking. All put back together and a long drive later - no noise. Result.

Afterwards I seized the chance to detail the car in the 18 degree sunshine. I'm totally sold by the Meguiars Ultimate range, relatively lost cost/effort with some excellent results.

Thought I'd give the bay a good clean too, the exposed areas near the strut feet had this weird ingrained @*!# that was totally bothering me.

  3. Today was a very sad day for me and my Zed.

After years of use in my naive earlier days, my autoglym sponge has decided to top himself after seeing me and my new best friend, the noodle mit, enjoying our lives together every Sunday.

    Rest in peace old friend.

  4. 2003 Audi A3 1.8T Quattro (4 wheel drive). 5 door model.

138k with 10 months MOT and a service the end of last year. Long service history by a local garage.

Drives great, any test drives welcomed.

A dent in the passenger door, a replacement can be had for <£100 if you're patient but it's not bothered me as this isn't a showcase piece. A scratch on the right hand rear quarter panel.

Overall, cosmetically clean and tidy with the exception of the aforementioned, drives and stops great.

Your's for the bargain sum of £1575.

  5. Bikes are awesome. I done an A2 about 8 years ago, restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. It was about £500 but I'm aware the rules and prices have changed since.

For the road, something like my old 1100s Hyper was the most fun. No point having a 190mph bike unless you plan on taking it on track.

  6. Don't do it.

Think of all the money K&N have spent on research and testing - It's more likely the slander is either from trollers or from people who haven't got a clue what they're talking about, although I have seen Dyno figures that show no/little improvement over stock filters - But they do sound good, right?!

Secondly, the 'B&Q foam' will not be up to the same quality, I'd be worrying about the foam element breaking down and causing all sorts of nuisance.

    Lastly, don't do it.

    Don't, just No.
