  1. Probably mine, getting it hand washed and dried without jet washer at Sainsbury’s Saturday afternoon. Quite reasonable at £7
  2. Thanks, let me get all the details and I will make contact. Cheers
  3. Driving back home on the M20 in Kent last week I hit a pot hole at 70Mph, the car bottomed out hard and I thought I might have damaged the driver side front wheel as I instantly got a steering wheel vibration. With still 230 miles left to travel I carried on as there was little chance of doing anything late at night. The next morning I went to my local tyre garage for a wheel check and balance. Upon removing the cap to undo the bolts they noticed that two bolts on the driver’s side were hand tight. As they placed the wheel brace on the bolt they sheared off with very little pressure. They checked the other wheels and these also had sheared studs? In total 7 sheared on all four wheels. They refused to carry on and remove the wheels. The 350 was put on a recovery truck and taken to my local garage for repair. The garage have removed the wheel and were horrified at the bodge job the previous owner had done in fitting the wheels. They had extended the studs with a nut and bolt and extra thread and modified the spacer plate. They say it was a matter of time before something more catastrophic had occurred. They also questioned how it had passed an MOT in September 2014. The problem the garage have now is working out how to resolve the issue? Is this just a case of getting the correct Nissan 3rd party Spacer for the wheel or is this a new wheel job? Demon Tweeks have quite a few Nissan type in their catalogue or is the spacer specific to the wheels fitted? The current wheel manufacturer is unknown as they can’t see any identifying names and the tyre sizes are 245/30/zr20 Anyone have any suggestions?
  4. Had my 350Z photographed by a friend today who is also a professional photographer ....
  5. This is my very first 350Z and it came with the Nismo badges already on so I assumed ......they will soon be off as don't want to be a fraud. The car drives and feels totally different since the upgrade. Like I said earlier, it was not about any BHP increase or to make it faster than it already is. The benefits of a smoother and responsive ride were more important. When the car was purchased it already had Hi Flow decats on and what looks like a Cosworth induction kit? The smoothness when accelerating is very noticeable. I also spent £1.60 on a sandwich (cheese ploughman) on the trip.
  6. A good productive day today down at Abbey Motorsport with Mark and Scott. I left home at 06:00 for the 222 mile trip to Oxsted in Surrey. I filled the Z up with Shell V-Power and set off at a steady 70-80mph. When I arrived the Z had averaged 33.2Mpg. The Z was taken to the Dyno Test area and setup ready. Mark ran an initial test to get a benchmark then set about setting up the UPREV. Mark talked me through the process as he went about his magic of tuning each setting and retesting. It took less than an hour for Mark to complete the setup and program the ECU with the new map. You can easily visualise on the twin screens the original map and the new map. An increase of 10BHP at the hub for a 10 year old car with 62K on the clock was achieved. I had turned up with no real expectation, I was not expecting a huge BHP increase or a faster car, and I would get a SC or Turbo for that. However, my expectations were certainly raised when I drove it the 222 miles home. It was definitely a different experience, very smooth through the gears all the way to 6th and it felt tighter and with a lot more torque. The throttle response was now crisp as well. Speed wise it did not feel any faster just silky smooth delivery. Mark also disabled the EML warning lights for the Hi-Flow Decat Exhaust fitted as part of the UPREV process. I am very pleased with the work done, very professional and extremely knowledgeable of the 350Z UPREV process and would recommend them. The total cost was £402 Inc VAT On a final note, I managed to squeeze 439 miles out of the tank of fuel with an indicated 15 miles left before I filled it up again. Very happy with my first 350Z.
  7. Having just purchased my first ever 350z 2months ago it is going to Abbey Motorsport Monday 5th for a Uprev. I will post up my outing once back. Hopefully with pictures.
