Just wondering what it will take to put a VK45DE engine into a 350Z. Instead of going the FI way. They used it themselfs in the 350Z Super GT car. Motorsport The VK45DE was previously used in Nissan's 350Z Super GT car, replacing the previous VQ30DETT used in that car in 2007. In race trim, the Super GT VK45DE produces 500 PS (490 hp) and 52 kg·m (510 N·m; 380 lbf·ft) of torque.[2] The engine idles at around 3500 RPM and is restricted to the above specified power output. Without such restrictions, the engine is reputedly capable of producing nearly 800 PS (790 hp).[3] Nismo reasons that by using the engine, they eliminate turbo-lag, save weight and generally prefer the torque curve of the atmospheric V8.

all thanks, for the warm welcome. i have been reading up on the FI projects, is see that Vortech is the choice for most of you. Now i am in doubt of going Stillen or Vortech. I would like to keep a clean stock look for the exterior, so i could be going for a Vortech setup. I will contact some traders to see if can get a complete list of parts needed and work to be done. I have to do it myself, because we don't have tuners in the country. I see Revup remote tuning is possible.... first things first, and i guess the next step will be sport cats,plenum spacer, y-pipe, K&N filter and catback exhaust.

Hi All, Mike's the name, and recently the 350Z became the game. I recentle bought myself a 2006 JSpec grand touring 350Z. it has full options and some mods, like HKS Hypermax coilovers and some other little things. plans: Bigbrake kit. Stillen Supercharger kit. exhaust and all the stuff needed to support the SC kit. i have done some research, but is always handy, when you can ask your fellow 350 owners for advice. regards, Mike
