I'd echo what loggy747 said, I have the ark grip and while it does come to life when pushing on (and it does sound superb), at idle and cruising it's pretty quiet, in fact on flat motorway at 70 it's all road noise, I can't hear the exhaust.
-
No excuse for parking like that (apart from maybe what husky said ). I'd have driven straight back out and sacked the gym off and used it as a sign it wasn't meant to be that night
-
Ark grip FTW

These look the business. Would one be available without painted inserts, if so do you have a pic of one?
-
Nope, only flash while holding or fully on. It annoys me a bit too as I got used to them on my last car and the wife's.
-
Just remember that not all nice shiny cars are driven by nice people.Understood and will seek out clean shiny cars
Probably because they don't own the car either so don't care about swinging a door open.
Amount of people I see thinking it's acceptable to rest there door against people's car's!!:o

That really does my head in. I was sat in my car a while back (pre z) in the works car park and some twonk parked up and opened his door against mine while I was sat right there
-
I suddenly gained a whole load of respect for the zed tonight when the back stepped out on me in 3rd gear 25mph under gentle acceleration through a village.
It certainly woke me up and grabbed my attention!
Really? Was is sheet ice or something? 25 is pretty slow for 3rd and gentle acceleration, you sure it was 2nd and flat to the floor

Ah I see, misunderstood your post, apologies. That I have no idea about in afraid. Fingers crossed it was a one off.

My doors and boot were frozen solid the other day, the handle would move ok, but the doors were rock solid. A few jugs of luke warm water round the whole window and door frame sorted it.
-
Not a bad a shout, I have been looking at some cheap sheds on the bay and there are quite a few around the 500 mark, and it would give me a practical car too.

Unfortunately I don't have a little run around so unless there's a good amount of snow put down the z gets used or I just work from home. You guys do know the loud pedal isn't binary right?
-
I was following one on the m1, stayed well back out the way, still a few bits getting kicked up by other cars but no way I'd be getting up close and driving by. I could see a whole cloud of grit in the air behind the spreader :o.
When I expect spreaders to be out and about I just keep my eyes peeled for the flashers and if I see one in the distance heading my way just dive down a side street - not too quickly obviously.

That's bonkers for an oil and filter change even for a main dealer. Sure I only used to pay about 120 for the same thing from the vw stealers on my passat. Where you based? Sure there must be some good indy's your way. Assume your car's 9 years old? If so stamps make no difference, well looked after is what matters so any service stamp will do.
-
I know you say you've checked the boot, but have you had a look under the carpet around the spare wheel and amp area?
Hope you get it sorted soon mate.
-
Wow, that's properly bent

Hadn't noticed this was a 370, I'd have thought that should be covered under warranty. The fact that yours has gone in 12 months shows what a piece of cr@p that vent is. You're lucky you don't have water in your boot, mine practically flooded everytime I washed it.
-
To get to the vent I took all my boot trim out, once you get to it it's a doddle to take out and replace. It may be a bit extreme taking it all out, it may be possible to reach under the trim. I think replacement is about £15 from Nissan.

Vauxhall Corsa -_-

Recently had the ark grip and absolutely love it, nice and quiet on cruise but comes to life when giving it some, nice and deep sounding. Exactly how the car should sound imo. Little bit over your budget, but well worth it, and it looks the business.

We got my girlfriends Apollo Contour in the boot of my Zed 2 weeks ago. The first time we tried it we struggled & had trouble making sure we didn't put the rear screen through, we've got it down to a fine art now, so it can be done. All depends on the size and make of the bike.
We (or I do) need pictures of this, tried getting my track bike in mine the other week, ended up with the frame on the front seat with the saddle in my face and wheels in the boot.

Ha. I have 3 diesels already 😂 yes true the torque can make things feel faster especially when it comes in a big lump. I'll get used to it I supposed. I had a Celica Tsport that had lift (like vtech) and that need to be spanked to come alive. But at least that only did 35 in 1st and 60 in 2nd!

I had the corolla tsport with the same engine, used to love taking that the 8200 redline with the punch at 6200.

I wouldn't worry about being humiliated by slower cars and just enjoy the z for what it is. Trying to out do other cars on the road will only lead to trouble sooner or later anyway.
-
I'm in Derby, I'd be up for this. Keep us posted. Where are you out of interest?

They're a bit good looking. Dumb question, but how the feck is the air filtered?
