  1. Ok just for a note I think I have fixed this problem ( thanks ZMANALEX ) .

It would seem that when I cleaned he senders I trapped the float with the syphon pipe and this was the cause of the needle not going below quarter of a tank ( this was on the drivers side ) .

Removed the sender / pump ad then refitted it moving the syphon pipe out f the way . Turned car on and needle was on the red filled up with £ 40.00 an now the needle is on quarter of a tank .

Will check that the needle goes down but think this has sorted the problem .

  2. Will be good to see how much more the exhaust bits gives over just the induction of my one ( I know you cant compare the two engines )

Yes mate, wanted to get all the bits in before a map

Pipercross air filter, 06 velocity stack, M/D plenum spacer, Berk decats, Japspeed Y-pipe, Scorpion backbox / midpipe

  3. Do you have any mods to your Z ?

as above, I'm also booked in with Abbey the next day 8/11/14.

Again not fussed on top bhp figures, more interested in improved drivability as a whole.

    Will post my thoughts here

  4. My 350Z 2005 DE is having this done at Abbey Motorsport on the 07/11/14 and only has a H-dev spacer and a K & N typhoon so will be good to see how it gets on with other cars that have had this done along with HFC and exhaust .

Not fussed about numbers but removing he opening on the 1 , 2 ,3 gear an removing the speed limiter is more what want from it

  5. I have said the Mrs can drive my 350Z for the week but she has just phoned up saying it has run out of fuel ( I did say fill up as I don't think the needle is reading correct ) .

I have one the fuel sender clean but since doing that the needle will only go down to quarter of a tank and no lower .

Have I over cleaned the strip or have I trapped the float on something .

The guage does go down as it was on half way and went down to quarter of a tank .

  6. It may just be me but can the fuel needle get stuck as I have quarter of a tank but it is not going below this .

I may just be me but I have done 220 miles from half a tank .

Im thinking when I have taken the sender out to clean I have done something .

Will the low fuel warning light come on as I don't want to run out of fuel .

    Thanks

  7. At the weekend I did the diff oil change

    parts .

The filler plug was a PITA to get off but a bit of heat sorted this .

    WP_20141025_0041_zpsbb494674.jpg

The plug had some shavings and sludge on it and the oil was a darker honey colour so a change was a good plan .

  8. Yes done all on the guide but the problem is still there .

It does go up when you put fuel in it and does go down over the week but its not very accurate but it will do for now as Revup , breaks , ARB are next .

Really like that k&n filter does it come with the carbon enclosed cover? Or is it separate would love to get one.

    Come with the cover .

I love it great noise and no heat soak .

In blue they are £ 370 ish but got my one on E bay for £ 160 :)

  10. Did this at the weekend and replaced the O rings .

A bit of dirt came off the electronic strips and all was put back together .

Fuel needle was half way below empty and quarter then after the clean it was over quarter of a tank .

Filled up with £ 25 worth of fuel and this went to half a tank but on the drive to work the needle was going up and down again ( going from half a tank to then less than half then going up to half again ) so this has not fixed the problem so what could be the other problem as it seems to go down but not in a smooth way ?

    Thanks

    Alan
