That will be me then
But for me the noise is worth the loss of some BHP / ~Torque
And the Typhoon does have a cold air feed and is house in a box I think its the alloy pipe work that is the problem but again this is Blue and I like it
Alan
Mark also showed me the intake temps whilst I was there, we compared my standard box with drop-in filter / velocity stack versus a previous days car fitted with a K&N typhoon, the gradual increase in heat on the typhoon was ridiculous compared to the standard box which consistently dropped temp levels and never built up/increased heat steadily like the typhoon. All interesting stuff to know when you want the car running the best it can

Ok I will have a look at the few points .
OBD2 reader is just a code reader so no live data .
Also the light now comes on every 3-4 miles and at low RPM small throttle and each time it has been cold ie 5-6 deg .
Wold this point more at the O2 sensor .
Also I thought the code was for the Passenger side ?

UP rev was done at Abbey along with the Cobra HFC and Y pipe

If the problem was a leek would this just not throw up the engine light straight away as when the fault is cleared the light seems to come back on after 80 miles or so ?
Also the car drives fine and the MPG is normial so would this not rull out a fault O2 sensor

It seems to come back on after 80 miles or so after a reset .
Would this not point to something other like the O2 sensor ?

So could be lots of things .
Ok I will have a look for any leeks but the car still runs very well ?
Alan

Ok the code is a P1273 so not what I was thinking .
Any thoughts .
This has only come on after the HFC , Y pipe and Uprev .

Just intake noise

Hope some one can point me in the right direction .
I have had some HFC and a Y pipe and an Uprev fitted weeks ago and on Saturday the engine management light came on so I did the peddle dance and cleared this but today after 80 miles its back on again .
I have a OBD2 reader so will check tonight but is this going to be the O2 sensor and will i need some spacers .
The car runs fine pulls well just to note .
Thank

My K & N typhoon lost me a few BHP but is worth it for the noise IMHO .

A T/T 350z that must be fun

Ok thought so as I did the peddle dance and then thought should I have asked first .

How is the Uprev map saved on the car and if you reset the ECU I take it this does not wipe / lose the Uprev ?

After 2 Weeks I would say for me it was worth the money as every time I drive the car it feels different in a better way / sharper etc .

13 LB/FT and 20 BHP on a N/A car is good going in my book
Alan

Yes the car feels sharper to drive is the best way I would describe it .
It is not a massive change but it just makes the car better for the improved throttle and better drive .

Just to update this
The car started off with low ish numbers but saw some good gains in the end .
+ 19.3 BHP and + 12.9 LB/FT
Converting this in to old money ( on a rolling road and not hub dyno ) this should add 30-40 extra BHP / LB/FT and make the car around 275 BHP an 260 LB/FT
The car Is loosing power and torque with the K & N typhoon fitted as the temp was going up and the std exhaust will not help this as well so if I change this and add a V/S to the air intake we would see around another 7-10 but the extra noise of the K & N is worth the loss so this will be staying .

What did you get at the hubs ?

Went to Abbyey for some bits and an Uprev on Friday and what a nice lot of people they are .
Was looked after and got shown all the work that was done / being done .

TBH as long as its good to drive and around 250 ish that is the main thing .
Numbers are not the main thing .
