Great advice Thanks, J! Good spot on the FSH... I'll have to inquire about that. The dealer has called me trying to give me the standard dealer-talk, which I'm not one to fall for! I know I saw this mentioned somewhere else in an older thread, but why not mention it again in a new thread and get some fresh answers? When changing the HU, would that require all of the speakers to be changed also? I'm happy with standard speakers at first with a new HU, if that's even possible. Recommendations are always appreciated. Also, I've seen some photos here of black alloys and... wow! If I get the money in a few months I might have to get a black refurb, it just looks so beastly! "wow! If I get the money in a few months I might have to" < best get used to that mate ... I can not see why you would need to change out the speakers, possibly connectors might need changing? but, speaker wire is speaker wire ... (just DON'T go to Halfrauds!) ..

Looks like a nice motor to me, v clean, low mileage - though advert doesn't state FSH and, at that £ - I'd be wanting.. HU change, no biggy really - I pulled mine (which wasn't bose) because it lit up green!!!!!! nice choice by prevous owner .... factory stereo, regardless of make from 10years ago? ....pfff rip it out! @ that budget, you WILL get a stunning example ... not saying this isn't at all .... just that, the world is your oyster keep an eye on members selling theirs! .. some real corkers come up! J

Mines an auto and she's priceless (to me!) ...

Mine is a JDM Auto too mate ... I pretty much have it on power the whole time (unless I knock it out with my elbow) - She is much more responsive throughout the range, kick down more responsive & yes, holds gear longer too. the only time I have her in normal is about town / sitting in traffic etc I don't suffer with it being oversensitive to be honest, nor notice the pedal travel being anything other than normal!? ... might be worth jumping in someone elses to see if it's the same. Sorry for late reply, missed your response - like the pad idea, thanks for the pic... almost certainly going to copy the idea!

Think that depends on everything else on/in the system mate - standard cat back on website states 85db (resonated)

have some dosh to buy a few nice things for my Z - bless her, waiting all this time ....... I want (need) to buy some 18"alloys , she's a base / bog standard / no frills kinda girl - no brembo's (at the moment) - Can I just bolt a set of Rays on? (+spacers?) ...25 rear 20 front -or? .../suggestions welcome I'm looking around at various offerings, but as I don't want to muck it up, safe bet -> Rays - (average 2nd hand sale price is the right kind of budget too) Open to suggestions though - Have read 19" but also seen people selling as they didnt like the ride / handle and I really don;t want to buy something that messes with the ride / handle / doesnt fit etc etc Will also put a cat back pipe on her, thinking resonated cobra - open to comments here too - again - the price works well (new) and from what I have read (heard) - it's not a bad place to make an entry. I just had my stereo replaced by them, DAB installed and connect up the rear speakers ...... install stereo OK, but DAB and rear speakers don't work (took them 4hours to get this far, though in fairness - the harness looked home made) ...took it back to "finish" the job ... they had to replace the rear speakers as both originals were blown!, the plastic housing that runs over the top of the entire set up now doesn't sit right, there's a stress point (white star) where clearly something is sitting (screw/nut?) not allowing it to sit back correctly. WHAT was I thinking! .. now have to replace said "rear deck trim" Rhymes with thats
