  1. Aah did wonder where it had gone, glad it's all getting sorted though and that you're staying red! If I ever get a full paint hit on mine I'd like to go with the Mazda pearl red as I think it has a really nice glow in the sun Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  2. One eyed king I'm in west Midlands (stoke on trent) so bit further than you think but might see if I can make zed fest work depending Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah if it's anything too much hassle I'll leave it off for now as I need a few rust bubbles painting anyway so will get it sorted in one go hopefully Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  4. Down in Meir Park Mike, yours was the reason I wanted a red zed and okay shezza I'll be on the lookout for red clios from now on haha Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  5. Not a clue, only owned the car for a couple of weeks, looks like original paint though imo Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah would have been me, give me a flash or wave next time! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  7. It's a 53 plate, but like I said in the OP the marks can come and go in various sizes and areas, if it was bird poo damage then it should have compounded out surely? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  8. Actually Mike I recognize your avatars picture, do you live up Clayton? If so I drive past every day at work as I'm the local milkman Plate reads along the lines of moore I seem to remember? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  9. That could have been me! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  10. Hopefully the price does match, all the zeds for sale locally to me were either high mileage or heavily modded (not best for my current insurance situation - turn 22 next month and my previous car a mazda3 MPS was written off hence I can't really afford to insure mods right now) Paid 6500, the car has had a full service, including box oil etc all Nissan parts, New genuine Nissan stubby gear knob, apparently a new clutch 10k miles ago - no signs of slipping but a definite whistle and slight groan from the thrust bearing when clutch isn't engaged Car is on 69k miles and it came with half a tank of fuel too Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  11. Plus all the usual clunky brake pads, rusty underbody and noisy thrust bearing Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks people, and payco the rust is on the o/s front wing (front edge and round the arch is all bubbling) and the other is around the rear arch. Passenger door looks to have been kagged and sprayed cheaply to a bad standard and I'm working my way through the previous owners love for cleaning the car at most once a year (sigh). Oh and my exhaust split into two at the backbox flange yesterday so need to get that welded up asap as it currently sounds rather racecar like haha Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

    Tree sap

Did you solve this? If not I highly recommend the g3 clay mitt (handily available from halfords). Just make an extra soapy bucket of a ph neautral car shampoo such as angelwax or Mainz passion and then begin to stroke over the paint using the mitt dipping into the solution every few seconds. 14. My car seems to suffer from a strange blushing kind of effect underneath the clear coat when it rains, spots can appear in different places and shapes / sizes and disappear after a warm / sunny few days. (only noticed it on the hatch so far) I've never come across anything like this before, anyone know what it is or how to fix it? P.s. tried hitting it with compound and a DA but to no avail. 15. Hi guys and girls, recently purchased a 2003 red 350z gt UK spec car, bit rough, bit rusty but I plan to sort all that out over the next few months. Anyway it's nice to meet you all and I hope to steal all your knowledge Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
