also some LED's require a resistor accross them due do the very low voltage. When you bought them did it say something like Message Free LEDs on the discription. These are the ones you would need to use, I think, just my 2p's worth

any one one here got a spoiler for sale. Something that will be more fitting with the lines on my car. Youve made me realise something just now Steve, with the top down, the spoiler looks worse and it looks higher than what is actually is. So yep....Im gonna change is as soon as something comes along. Any pics or thoughts here would be greatly appriciated. any second hand ones would be even better lol cheers guys

The thing is StevoD is C0ck on lol. But if everybody modded they car the same using the same ol generic parts, how boring would the modified section be? The points raised are all valid. Im by far too ugly and old to worry about them lol. Zebby will be back...phase two, a little more conformist to the Zed community watch this space.

Some ok and not some ok comments but all taken on board and appreciated. These were parts that I had laying around in my garage and thought I'd put them on to gauge a reaction. The badges are now all off. Fair point regards to the splitters but I'm still on the fence regards to the spoiler. Some say too big which I do agree. When a replacement comes up ill probably change it. My cousins owns a spray shop so don't cost me a bean to experiment and mess about with bits. The Ferrari splitters were taken off a 430 scuderia as he was putting it back to normal. They are a novitec item worth a few bob I believe lol. Electrics all ok now. No fuses blown. The reason for the flat battery is I beleive the head unit wasn't returning to its home position as the screen was fouling on the OEM radio surround. This in turn kept the stereo on with the motor trying to get the screen back to its place.

What issues have you had Rob?? Ive got one too, but the 5th bow motor has a mind of its own, sometimes pulling up and dropping down the rear window as and when and sometimes not lol its a right bl00dy pain

bullet...you **** on mate. Lessons learned there I think. Lets hope its the main fuse or something similar. Wont know until after 5 as Im in work. Is there someone breaking a Zed on the forum?? Maybe theyll have one of these £70 fuse I could buy, if its that??? Im worried perhaps for nothing as Im envisaging the ECU being fried?? Can this happen or there are fuses in place to protect a short cuircut taking place. Is that what this main fuse does?? cheers Zeb

ye the other car starts ok. Ill try charging the battery in the hope it starts. Any one know where the battery fuse is. ie in the right hand kick board inside the drivers foot well, or if in the engine bay...where?? Im really hoping the electronics are fine cheers Zeb

Over the weekend I wired in a new head unit which I must have got the constant live and ingnition live wrong somewhere. Anyway....;went to start the car this morning and battery was dead. So used my jump leads accross to another car. I HAD THE POLARITY WRONG as I was half asleep.I noticed some smoke from the jump leads, thats when I noticed something was wrong. Si I quickly swapped em around and now I cannt start the car , not even dashboard lights are on. Needless to say Im shitting my self. Can anyone tell me whats happened and how I may get things going again thanks

Been busy this week end. Fitted a cheap 70 quid head unit from eBay and tbh it's very good surprisingly. Also took the cubby out and fitted a five inch android tablet hooked into the hu. Hope you like. Next step is to fit some free air speakers into the rear panel and fit a mahooosive amp n bass driver. That's it for now Zeb

Hi Guys, hope you can help. Ive been trawling through some old threads and cannot find a comprehensive list for the p2 service as I hope to do most of it myself. Appologies if the list already exists. My car is coming up to 54k with all previous services done by Arnord Clark near Preston. Im in Swansea area. Guys I'm loving this thread and can relate to most of you. In fairness the missus is ok with most things except three weeks ago I turned up with the zed. Lol at last she's just come round. Wassso is that the legendary LS engine. Jesus can't wait for that build thread to happen...a grand.???? more like 7 to 8k all in. This spending and modding is addictive because of sites like this lol..... Now all I need is a windfall to catch up with you guys. Happy spending all.

I may have stumbled on something here then lol. I've seen very very similar specifically for the zed for hundreds of pounds. This one is cheap as chips...fits spot on and is readily available second hand. These were produced by mg for the 180 v6 2.5 versions only. I have one and bought it for that but I offered it up to the zed and low and behold.......I thought....I just might get away with this. And I hope I did depending on all you guys thoughts????

Ok. It's been a few days. The rear spoiler I'm using is from a..........wait for it....... An MG ZS 180. Cost me 40 quid from eBay. Painted the ends and carbon wrapped the blade section. It fits **** on onto the roadster , is the right length And not too extreme on the height. Secondly I've wrapped the front lower section of the bumper just under the grill in the same carbon effect and I've used genuine cf splitters off a Ferrari 430 which ain't a bad fit albeit not matching the central portion of the vinyl but hey oh. Hope you like. It's changed the appearance of the car without going balls out I hope. Just subtly. Hope you all agree. Well...that's all for now. Got some nizmo badges to fit on them and to replace the Ferrari shields then that's all done. Next week....new hu, a reversing camera and a 7" android tablet into the front cubby. Cheers. Zeb.

Mike nothing too daunting. But the three inch grinder only just fits under the handbrake from the passengers side without touching the central console. Just nip the widening part back until its the same width all the way through. You could cut the new sleeve down to such a length that it does not reach that lower portion on the lever.. Go for it
