  1. That's the new roof. Its the fitment behind the rear side windows Im not too over the moon about. The rest of the roof is really nice quality but from a distance the B pillars look a bit holey... I might pop it back tomorrow and just see if theres anything he can do to pull them taughter.
  2. Had mine done today! ZZZebady did yours sit up around the back when done and he said it will stretch down? At the mo water can run under the back and into mine but Ray said it will stretch down. Anyway here are some photos.
  3. Just PMD you mate! Looks really good! I've been booked in with him for next Friday for ages! Can't wait now!!
  4. I'll be going with the Mrs in my Azure Roadster! Would be good to meet some of you guys there! PMd re the WhatsApp group! It'll be my third time this year but my last was in 2009. Im hoping this time my hay fever isn't as bad. I nearly died of it last time. Impetigo on my face and all sorts. Not good!
  5. Hey Guys! Thought Id introduce myself seen as I've posted a few times elsewhere! My name is Adam and I've not too long ago bought a 350Z roadster. Its an 05 with FNSH and its pretty tidy! It just needs a new roof which is now booked in with Jack Smiths in Swansea for late next month! I also have a 260Z which I am restoring, very slowly.... Its currently in bare metal completely stripped being welded in NJ Restorations in Cross Hands. There is a build thread on that here: http://zclub.net/for...ead.php?t=23234 And here is a photo of the Roadster. Off to LeMans in it tomorrow morning so if any of you see me, give a wave!!
  6. If he does the roof on the 350 well I might get him to do the interior on my 260!
  7. Dugg when I had the MX5 done with him he was anything but! Couldn't shut him up! Haha! Good to know he did a good job on the Golf.
  8. My MX5 one was nice. I think better ones are available but for the price you seriously can't complain. The only thing I'm concerned about is the actual electrics etc as Ray says obv he takes no responsibility for that.
  9. Its all done in a day Pete He has a duplicate glass now so uses that to make the roof. No need to wait for him to bond it in.
  10. Hey Pete! It was either £300 or £280 fitted. He said he hates doing them but still is it seems. I did have my MX5 roof done there years ago and he did a good job its just the Z mechanism is lots more complicated so I wondered if anyone had had any experience. I know there are people on here who have had them done. Are you going to visit Zzzebedy?
  11. Hey guys! Have any of you had your roofs done by Jack Smith in Swansea? I know he has done a few 350s and mine is booked in with him on July 31st. I just wanted to see if anyone has had any problems after their roof has been fitted? Any photos of the roofs? Cheers guys!
  12. Yea I'm good cheers mate! And yourself? I don't have an S2000 now but I've had several in the past and they always seem to lock up really easily coming out of junctions etc. The 350 seems to spin the inside wheel a bit which surely shouldn't happen with any LSD traditional or otherwise? Its definitely not as easy to drift out of junctions as the MX5 or the S2k. It wont get sideways! Does this sound right to you? Maybe it needs an oil change. I'll jack it up on Mon and see if both wheels turn the same way! How's the BM treating you?
  13. Hey Doc! Wondered when I'd run into you on here! Its Adz with the turbo MX! I'm just confused as its spinning the inside wheel. Are they less easily locked than he torsion difs? Maybe I need a fluid change?
  14. Hey guys, Just wondering if the UK GT spec 350ZRs have a LSD as standard? I'm used to an S2000 where I can feel it grabbing on tight turns but I can't with the 350Z. Also when I boot it out of junctions I'm sure the inside wheel is spinning up.
  15. It doesnt dissapear at all when the clutch is dipped, but oil is OK now..... I'll record an under bonnet video
  16. Thanks for the replies guys! The oil level was definitely low when I checked yesterday. I've put about 1.5L in and its now sitting just below Max. That light donk donk is what I mean guys. Its only very light but its defo more audible inside the car than out for some reason. I'll try and get it on a ramp and have a listen underneath asap. Its comforting that you guys do have a similar click and have had for years, and that so many of you are here to help! Loving the car so far! I'm also half way through my 260Z restoration! I'll post some photos!
  17. Hey guys! Just bought myself a 350Z roadster and drove it back from Falmouth to Bristol yesterday! On getting back there is a slight tap/knock on tickover. I can't say I noticed it when I first picked it up and it can't be heard outside the car, only whist sat in the cabin! I've checked the oil and the dipstick is a nightmare! So hard to get a level! I stuck a litre in and from what I can see its between L and H. I've read about the fuel dampers and this does have the same kinda symptoms but I had an S2000 where the bottom end went and I'm paranoid about stuff like that now! What do you guys think? https://youtu.be/7NQHUiHjFeY
