A blast from the past
I wonder if this has sold I saw Buster had it advertised recently. Looked a nice car.

Which model exhaust do you have?
-
I saw the add for the car which they are on, there is a link to it somewhere in the spotted on ebay section. They are hideous, that's what they are lol

Welcome Stephanie, take your time if you can to find the right zed. Took me a few weeks and few hundred miles of traveling. Only insurance tips I can give is move in with your other half and stick them on as a named driver and relation 'Co habiting/ civil partner' dropped my quote from £650 to £400. 25y/o 7yr ncb
I ended up buying a 05' de with 56k miles for £7k although needed some prep such as tyres and a little paintwork (good tyres aren't cheap)

I had the same problem, you need a cr2016 button battery (£1 on ebay). Remove one tiny Phillips screw from the fob, prise open the casing and switch with old battery. Simples

Hi all,
Today after a long run my engine management light came on
I've done the pedal dance - though I've never diagnosed anything like this and need a little help.
I have recorded how many times the light flashes, though I'm finding it difficult to make a code out of it.
EDIT: Is this code P1167 Heated O2 Sensor 2?
Car is an 05' DE with 57k mileage
We've had a few cold mornings lately where I live which may have affected things. The car gets used daily but doesn't travel far at all, today I took it for a good run.
Not sure if parking close to a wall/ garage door daily tail end first may affect things either, assuming it is the 02 sensor?
Any help much appreciated

This thread is amazing! Graham seems quite pleased in that photo - I'm guessing his clubs must have fit!

Oh no! such a nice zed and FI also! I bet that was quick!
Loads of cars my way were written off also with this terrible weather.

Looks like a BMW 3 series, Maserati and Jag XF had a love child

I've never driven a 6 series, but I did consider going to test drive one and possibly buy one before the Zed. It is a sexy motor!
In the end I thought the Zed was heavy enough for what it was (I was originally after a Z4 3.0, S2000 or Boxster 3.2)
I'm glad I got my Zed, the noise and this forum were enough to convince me it was the right choice.
Not much can beat the interior of the German cars without blowing loads of money though.

My mother has a Corsa 1.0 ecoflex - 2011 plate if i remember correct. 0-60 in 18.2 seconds.. She says she doesn't need a powerful car. Probably best to be honest lol
Its not possible your 1.4 is as thirsty on fuel as your zed, unless it has a fuel leak
-
Ekona I'm sure you've been asked this before but how does the power and handling of the 645i compare the the 350z? Does the 645i feel heavier?
I'm just looking at figures 333bhp isn't too shabby

Almost 6 months for me
Loving the car and ownership. The longest I've kept a car is about four years - I think I'll be keeping the zed for longer!
I test drove my brothers new Audi TT 2.0 S Tronic yesterday, but I prefer my zed! it sounds better and has something special about it.
I also met my first forum member at a car meet yesterday also. Zed owners are all nice people it seems

Do you have a standard exhaust? If not, it could be touching the crossmember underneath like mine. Only when warm as it must expand ever so slightly.
Or heatshield loose as others have said.
Iv heard the release bearing can cause a knocking noise.
-
I have doubts this invention will be very effective, purely because every car door is a different shape and different height. It would be purely chance that this stops a door ding.
What you need is to make some stick-on armour... similar to the Citroen Cactus

Ouch! sorry for your loss, what a beautiful car. Held up pretty well, I wonder how fast was the other car going?
Are you going to get another to replace it?
-
Wow good job on the footage, at least you know who it was.
Must be a terrible feeling knowing your car isn't safe on your own drive - could've been worse.
I read every day about people keying cars and know first hand the costs involved having to get then repaired.

I've found PH to be evolving negatively also, nobody seems as friendly on there as they used to be.
They all seem to be big powerfully built directors who just want to voice their opinions
Much nicer and more relevant for me on this forum.
Nice colour Zed and I do like the wheels though, Headlight film isn't for me either, to each their own.

I may call them back and negotiate - il supply the oil etc.
I wouldnt mind if it was a p3 but its just a minor.
Im based North West.

So today I booked my first service for the Zed, since the book has 7 out of 9 Franchise stamps I feel obliged to continue.
£256 for a minor service at Nissan - I asked what was involved - an oil and filter change.
What some of us will pay for a stamp in the book!

I had tc light flickering yesterday morning on work commute. I might borrow the suzuki swift if it gets worse. I thought I had executed a perfect rwd slide in a BMW once.. Then ended up in a ditch. A shallow ditch, luckily.

Neon under cars is one. My dad emailed me asking for advice on getting undercar lights - he has an Audi (shudders) A3 sportback for crying out loud!
I suppose i should be grateful, the last time he took me car shopping i had to talk him out of buying a Civic Type R!
What's wrong with a Civic Type R?

My shell garage got flooded so I'm using BP Ultimate 97 for the last three refills. I travelled quite a distance to the second nearest Shell garage only to discover they don't stock V-Power. I was quite disappointed! Iv never used tesco 99, maybe next time.
-
Iv never driven one, my younger brother is getting a new TT quattro S Tronic, not quite the beast you have there but 230 bhp and 0-60 in 5.3 which is pretty quick off the mark. Il have to have a go in it once he gets it.
Plasti Dip

Has anybody here ever plasti-dipped a whole car before?
I can imagine cleaning it would be a pain as it will be a bit rubbery
Reason I ask is I was discussing it with somebody who repairs cars and he offered to help me out and let me borrow his compressor & spray gun. I'd just have to pay for the materials. I wouldn't mind a deep blood red colour with pearl topcoat.
