  1. Not sure, I want something sporty and it's got to be fairly quick so I'm thinking 600cc min. I wish KTM did their RC390 as a 690!

It's surely only a matter of time!

I'm eyeing up a 675 Daytona for next year, essentially a faired striple and that was an incredible bike to ride I thought.

  2. What,s worse £100 for extra insurance or £5000 plus to replace your car for not declaring ANY mods ? Shortsighted if you don,t.

It's worse than that, if they cancelled your premium and you injured another party you could be liable for hundreds of thousands in damages.

I declare all mods and rarely find it makes any difference to the premium, one insurer actually dropped the price when I declared mods!

  3. Hi all,

With the impending arrival of my first child in early December it is unfortunately time for my zed to move on to a new owner.

The car is a very good condition grey 2008 350Z 313 GT on a '57 plate with 36,000 miles on the clock.

It has all the usual GT spec, heated leather seats, bluetooth, rays alloys, etc.

I've not been able to take any decent pictures of the car yet as the weather has been awful however, the following link is the original ad from when I bought the car last year (Mods I hope this isn't a breach of any rules, I'm not attempting to advertise for this company!)

Since these pictures were taken I've added Eibach spacers, a stubby aerial and a Pioneer appradio, all of which can be returned to standard if required by the purchaser.

Additionally, the car has recently benefitted from brand new brake discs and pads all round (less than 100 miles ago), goodyear eagle F1 rear tyres, service and MOT (all within the last 500 miles) at a cost to me in the region of £1000.

The bodywork is generally in very good condition, there are one or two stone chips on the front wheel arches and some light scratching (only lacquer deep) around the drivers door handle. The interior is also in excellent condition but suffers from the seemingly very common scratch marks to the door handles and cubby door.

I'm asking £9,500 which, I believe is a fair price for a nice condition, very well maintained and low mileage zed.

    Jon

Edit: Still no opportunity to take photos yet but here's one from a few months ago when the weather was nicer with the spacers fitted.

Edit: Still not had chance to clean the car but have managed to take a couple of pictures today:

  4. Hello cougar store ,

I bought some Eibach spacers from you several months ago for my 350Z and all has been well until I recently when I had new brake discs and pads all round.

Unfortunately, the nuts appear to have seized and several were completely mangled while they were being removed as they seem to be quite soft.

Can you please tell me if it is possible to get new nuts for these spacers? If so, how much are they please?

At present, I'm stuck with spacers on the rear and not on the front :(

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    Jon

  5. Pleased to say I passed mod 2 this morning.

I look forward to joining you all out on the roads when I've bought myself a bike! :)

Congratulations as a first bike you can't go wrong with a honda cbr600 f, comfy and quick enough. Can pick up a nice one for 1500 quid.

I tested a 2011 yesterday and I'm afraid I really didn't like it. It felt lacking in torque at low revs to me which, made me feel like I had to rev the nuts off it and this in turn made me feel nervous and didn't inspire me with confidence.

Incidentally, you lot on here seem a lot nicer than some of the idiots on Pistonheads, what do I say that invites people to comment on my personality rather than the bikes????

  6. Well I passed the mod 1 at the second attempt on Thursday despite riding generally worse for the duration of the test.

Just mod 2 to go now before I can go and test ride a few bikes and finally make up my mind what to get!

Congrats! Any tips for the mod 1? I've got mine in a few weeks :)

Try to relax, remember your life savers and that the bike goes where you look.

Also take a wide line on the figure of eight.

I think the examiners generally are nice people who actually want you to pass so don't be nervous of them.
