  1. Currently im using two sandwich plates, no leaks as of yet On the road oil temps read 80-90C On Track 110-120C I may be wrong but i thought best reading would be to have the sensor in oil flow before its about to be pumped around the engine rather than sat in a sump waiting to be used.
  2. My opinions with 350z Pagid: very good on the road and initial bite is good from start but didnt last a whole track day EBC yellow stuff: Required more brake peddle pressure than Pagid when cold but when warm was fine lasted 3 track days and some road driving . Black diamond: My favourite good value for money initial bite is good for the road when cold and work well on the track (think these are only available for brembos)
  3. Hi jumping350, in the uprev tuning guide, it states the following "The MAF may peak around peak torque and the engine may start to lean out at higher RPMs. In these cases you’ll have to use the fuel compensation table to add more fuel to the upper RPMs." This means that we will be adding more fuel before we get to the peak RPM/hp/torque, running rich in the mid range area, the car will work but wont be as smooth as with an upgraded MAF. older fuel injected motorcycles dont have a MAF it just takes the RPM/Throttle position, which is not very accurate yet ive managed to tune in nitrous to this system with no issues and the bike felt very smooth. If the stock MAF does peak are cars wont be as smooth and well tuned as someone with an upgraded MAF but as long as it doesn't peak ridiculously earlier are cars will run probably very well.
  4. Evilscorp very well written for someone whos drunk:-), my power goal is 360-380whp, just wondering if anyone has experience with this power on stock MAF before i start mapping the car, then have to wait 2weeks for a GT MAF to arrive, ive googled and searched some people say yes, some say stock can flow enough for 500whp, others say no it cant. No point changing things which are capable.
  5. Ok thanks guys will start shopping for a MAF, not to keen on the car running lean at peak HP may go pop
  6. A quick question before i start playing can the stock 350z MAF cope with a vortech running standard boost or is the Uprev MAF upgrade required ? Thanks
  7. I agree, det cans are good, would be nice to see what the ecu picks up using Up-Rev. I managed to download my ROM today after removing the HKS SLD up-rev have the ROM now hoping they can make my ECU compatible with their software. Currently i have an ECU with an unsupported P/N.
  8. Thanks Tricky Ricky i was kinda looking for an audible method of listening for knock. Not Fi at moment, going to be doing this as a hobby using Osiris uprev software but am currently having an issue getting my laptop to communicate with the ECU whilst trying to ROM DUMP, The car has a HKS SLD fitted think its interfering with the CAN Signal, i shale be removing this see if it works.
  9. Hi anybody have a link for the ECU pinout of a JDM Nissan 350Z 2003, im planning on tapping into the two knock sensor wires using two capacitors to stop interference and a Playstion 3 gaming headset, when powered via usb or 5v supply they have a built in Amplifier, im unsure if this will work but worth a try. Thanks for any help
