  10. Could u explain why u would recommend taking an aftermarket kit off and making it standard again? Surely aftermarket kits are better in general? Is your reason just the dry filter explanation above? Thanks
  11. Oh! Let me start again and give u photos. I got really confused! I have an aftermarket air filter system by Injen. I want a replacement for the red cone air filter on the end. Can someone give me options and links to buy a replacement one.
  12. My car was registered June 2004. I bought it 28th July 2005. So that's 8 years 6 months on Jan 28th. =)
  13. I want a direct replacement for the red cone filter
  14. Ah thanks
  15. When the petrol light comes on, the DTE shows that I have 60 miles left. So I'm pretty sure there is way more petrol in the tank when my car says its empty. But I don't like to risk it as I'm not sure which part is most accurate. I think it's prob the fuel sender like people have said. And yes it's no huge problem. I just fill up more regularly . But I'd like my car to give me the correct info, so I'll look to clean/replace the sender. Thanks
  16. I used super unleaded in it for the first 6 years, but for the last 2.5 years I've used standard unleaded. I can't notice any difference...... I don't drive it hard so I don't notice any difference in performance. What should I look out for by using standard unleaded? Is there anything I should clean out or replace more often as I use standard fuel?
  17. From reading posts on here, the petrol tank size is either 80L or 76L. Who knows which it is for a UK 2004 350Z ? I've always filled my car up from almost empty (petrol light just comes on) at a cost of £85-95 (at £1.30 per Litre equates to 65-73L). But for the last 3 months I cant get more than £60 worth in (46 litres ish). Its still on empty with petrol light on. I wait 1 minute and try to get more fuel in, but its absolutely full. What could be causing this? an air lock in the petrol tank?? or an error with the petrol light sensor coming on too early, saying its empty when its really not? I don't risk driving it long after petrol light comes on coz I don't want to run out!
  18. Hi, I'm new to this site and am struggling to find some answers, so sorry, please bear with me. I need to replace my air filter. I have hoovered it out a few times but now it is looking corroded and very sorry for itself. I wanted to find some forum threads about which air filters I can get, which are best, and why. I searched "air filter" in Forums, and I got back a long list of conversations that mentioned the words "air filter" but after reading 15 of the threads, none of them clearly said , these are the air filters you can buy, this is standard, this one is best and why, this one is cheapest, here are the sellers. If you can help with links to relevant threads or can list the info I need, I'd be very grateful. what 350Z parts websites do you use when checking parts prices? thanks (im also struggling with editing the font size, and copy+paste keyboard shortcuts wont work, and typing posts! letters keep getting missed off so im typing so hard and slow! very odd coz its fine on all other internet/email/word screens so it cant be my keyboard......)
  19. thanks for that =)
  20. R35LEE – I’m in Bury ST Edmunds, Suffolk. The warranty fights sound really hard work.
  21. thanks for those forum links GIXXERUK very interesting. I used the search box but nothing came up, but I only searched “bodywork†, I will widen searches in future.
  22. I hate parallel parking I mean parking in bays. supermarkets are the worst! and when I have to, I park at the far corner away from everyone else, or over 2 spaces like a jerk! I have a small dent on both doors from where I have parallel parked and some careless person has opened their car door and let the edge touch my door. I've not seen it happen, and the offending car is always gone when I return, and the cctv is never pointing my way!! *sigh* So, I'm left with 1 small dent, on each door, that you can see when you catch them on side profile in sunlight. not hugely noticeable but it irritates me to see them. Is my only option to buy 2 new/2nd hand doors? and what kind of money are we talking? Or has anyone had huge success with cosmetic dent removal companies? thanks
  23. I had my front bumper and bonnet resprayed last year because of rust bubbles on the bonnet and stone chips on the bumper. Looked really great when done. This year I can see rust bubbles coming through on my bonnet again (on front edge where it meets bumper). My car is 2004. I imagine there is water hidden in the folded over edge of the bonnet, and that if i respray it, it will just rust back though again. What are peoples experiences of bonnet rust bubbles? Has anyone successfully repaired a bonnet? Or is my only solution to buy a new bonnet and have it resprayed? what price am I looking at for a new and a second hand bonnet and respray orange? Thanks
  24. Hello, thought I'd introduce myself as I joined the forum this week. I'm Nic and I've owned my 350Z for 8 and a half years. I live in Bury ST Edmunds, Suffolk. I'm finding the Technical pages really useful, and have lost hours in there already. So much info! I had a new clutch at 80000 miles. It was interesting to read that it is common at that mileage. My boot hasn't opened with 1 click for so long. So irritating! I replaced the gas struts and it didn't fix it, so I'm pleased to read that I can get the boot popper springs upgraded by Peteman35. I have PM'd him. Wish I'd joined this forum sooner. Nic x
  25. Sounds great. I would like to recondition my springs please. I'll PM you.
