  1. I have now removed my clutch assist spring which is an easy mod, this has allowed me to drop my pedal even further down (still making sure the clutch fully engages) and the pedal will return to its fully rested position This a lot lower and in a perfect position for me and It also gives you a much better feel for the clutch points the down side is a heavy clutch pedal. I am now thinking of either putting on a lighter spring to lighten the pedal a bit of maybe putting in a small bracket to move the spring slightly maybe giving a different feel. probably will go for a lighter spring first
  2. I found this also ... the first 1 inch maybe even more was just 'free-play' on my clutch pedal, felt like I was kneeing myself in the chin before I made both of my adjustments (wife couldn't even drive the car)!!! Adjust the microswitch with a 14mm spaner to loosen the locknut and screw it abit for the desired outcome. This switch also acts as the 'stop' for the clutch pedal you have to be careful if you are using the micro switch to stop the pedal returning to its full rest position I have read it can cause problems with the slave cylinder if the master cylinder is not allowed to return to its fully rested position.
  3. thanks for that. i will be careful making any adjstments in future but would really like to get my clutch pedal in a nice position. I have read about people removing the assist spring, a lot of people recommend it but dont really say how it changes the feel and if there is any problems with pedal return. anyone done that mod and can describe what it is now like thanks
  4. So i have been fine tuning the clutch pedal on my 2005 Z and although i have the bite point set about right for me i am now finding the pedal does not return back up to its rest position. In some respects I do not find this a problem as there is too much travel between the point the clutch starts to disengage and the fully up rest position. As it does not feel like there is much resistance in the first inch of pedal movement would it be ok to move the 'clutch pedal released' push button switch further in and use it as a pedal release stop and reduce the travel or is there another way to change this thanks ps the dipstick is just mental
  5. Thanks mate Have been keeping an eye out for zeds but not seen any lately
  6. Reckon that was me with tophookers old azure blue. Think that might have been the one dry day I got to drive it on so far Original nismo kit with milltek exhaust?
  7. Hoping it takes me back to my happy capri days (but with more grip lol)
  8. Cheers. A weird blend of excitement and nervousness

  11. The medical companies are trying to get the ecigs so heavily regulated that most will be banned from sale in the eu and give individual governments the option to impose a complete ban on all types Please sign this petition to protect this safer and healthier option http://www.efvi.eu/ Thanks
  12. At best its 99% because I am a happy smoker. Always enjoyed it and had no regrets. I still see myself as a smoker but have just moved onto something safer and cheaper
  13. Smoked for 30 years and enjoyed every puff. Been on green smoke ecigs for 2 months and not touched a cigerette in that time. I also have an adapter which allows me to put a clearomizer on the gs batteries and I pop the cap off the cartridges and just top up with the ejuice of my choice. Currently brazillian coffee I dont like the idea of the medical companies making decisions on the regulations for ecigs as they have lost a lot of sales of their quit smoking patches and inhalers etc and want to get rid of ecigs by regulating them out of existence Dont see me going back unless they are banned
  14. And no. It was way worse then a kitler. Look up 'mind control experiment' on B3TA dont worry. Nothing gruesome just a silly animation
  15. Thanks Probably was just bad timing but you do have about 18 zeds showing available on your web site but only 6 at your showrooms Unfortunately I dont have too much time to sort one out but there is a nice selection around and there doesn't appear to be to many problems to watch out for
  16. Thanks guys. Will change the avatar tomorrow. (Though it does make me laugh) Already picking up good information and seeing some nice cars
  17. Thanks guys Er sorry about the avatar. Its an old one I had from an mgzr forum which seems to have assigned itself to me for this forum. Very strange
  18. Hope everyone had a good xmas Im in essex and looking for a zed. Probably a gt as I think I need the electric folding wing mirrors although anything else I can probably retrofit. Definitely want a 05 or early 06 because of the road tax After 10 years in an mg zr 160 I would like to get back to rear wheel drive. Dont want to start off with a moan but what is the situation with tradelink in kingsley langley who seem to have a lot of cars advertised but when I went to see them, apart from not actually getting to meet anyone was told that the 6 cars sitting outside were the only ones they had in stock although autotrader shows them having a great selection I am looking to get one pretty soon so will be trawling your forums sucking up all the information I can
