  1. Hi and welcome! In the best colour combination too :-)
  2. Was my first mod last week! Ordered RDX stubby from redline after been recommended it, looks great :-)
  3. Same here set cruise to 70 and averages 34 mpg pretty impressive considering it's a 3.5 litre and an engine built in 2006! :-)
  4. Ok guys think I have fixed it! The rectangular vent in the corner of the boot took it out and the foam seal was knackerred not sure why it is made of a foam type material as it soaks up the water like a sponge. Rainwater runs Down through the tail lights and around the vent. Fingers crossed it's sorted.
  5. My audi I just sold for the Z was an AUTOVOGUE same wheels loved them! :-)
  6. You just want to see if he can get his Mrs in the boot Lol Ok so tonight in have completely stripped the boot and got my watering can out and I think I have come to the conclusion it's some how getting in around the passenger side tail light having taken it off I am going to replace the 3 rubber washers for the bolts it's more likely coming through the back clip that one of the lugs clips into.
  7. Thanks for that a job for the weekend! How hard is it to remove the hard plastic cover on the boot lid? Any tips cheers.
  8. Hi all I seem to have water leaking and pooling in the boot, noticed it at the weekend so stripped it all out and dried it with towels and a hair dryer. It's been sat on the drive since then and when I went to use the car again today the water is back! Anyone with similar problems or ideas where to start looking? Cheers.
  9. Had mine 2 weeks now 06 facelift 27000 miles and loving it too, already put a stubby on looks much better and the brick will be coming off this weekend :-) had a small amount of streaking on the sat nav screen but I sorted it at the weekend with a bit of autosol. Like you couldn't be happier :-))
  10. Hi could you pm me a price for a set of plugs please for an 06 296bhp hr engine Regards Andy.
  11. Quick update! The piece of trim did pop off all be it with quite a bit of force as it had some sticky foam along two edges! Removed centre console to get to sat nav which I removed and took apart to seperate screen, a bit of autosol and elbow grease later I have a nice shiny streak free sat nav screen! :-))
  12. I just bought my car with one key, went to get a price for a spare and was going to be over 200 quid and that was from timpsons a main dealer was more, fortunately the previous owner found the spare in a safe place and posted it saving me a packet. Maybe this is the reason he's asking for a 2nd key but if it wasn't stipulated then the deal should stand!
  13. Hi thanks for the reply. Yes it's staying in the reason I want it off is the plastic screen has some streaks on the back as if someone has cleaned it and liquid has got behind it, so me being fussy wants it sorting as the rest of the interior is spot on.
  14. I was willing to wait and looked hard, eventually found my 06 plate with new shape interior and updated engine and was in the lower tax band so a bonus! My advice would be not to rush in and at 7k you should find a decent one!
  15. Wow $799 that's cheap! I've started looking at exhausts and this is deffinately top of my list with the rolled stainless ends :-)
  16. I have just been quoted £60 a wheel near York! :-)
  17. With me being new to my z and not wanting to damage any trim I need to know how to remove a piece of trim. I have an 06 new style interior and the sat nav is the one with the joystick in the middle, there is a small piece of trim between the key pad and apparently this needs to be removed to access some screws I had a go the other night and it wouldn't just lift out! Any ideas? Cheers.
  18. I have the meguires clay bar kit and it's the quick detailer that is used for the lube it works a treat and the paint work afterwards feels like glass! :-)
  19. Will do Andy (It's on page 1 - and growing rather rapidly)! Thanks I have a sunset orange so the z in orange if possible thanks let me know about payment when you get near to sorting cheers.
  20. Adam I have just bought my zed from pics and talking to the guy only, had to send a £500 deposit to hold it , was a 3 hour train journey to get it and a 3 hour drive back but was deffinately worth it .you tend to get a feel if buying the car is right by talking to the buyer in detail and plenty of pics. My advice would be to book a one way train down and go as if you where deffinately buying the car to bring it away, if the car is not as described or your not happy it's the cost of the train back, but I would be confident that the car is spot on and well worth the journey!
