Its process of elimination mate, check everything. Some thins to go on
All bolts tight? No air leaks?
Take your system off bit by bit and check for anything rattling inside?
Heatshields above the decat/y-pipe/mid pipe not loose and touching/rattling against anything?
-
From that picture im assuming you mean the flexis on the y-pipe?
I had this issue but not to the extent its noticible on the motorway at high speeds, only in the lower revs off-throttle.
Issue was down to fitting decats for me, a tiny piece of stanard cat broke off and fell into the y-pipe when I was changing them over for decats.
For me (free, do it yourself) I took the y-pipe off, presto, tiny piece of cat fell out, rattle cured. Hopefully its as simple as that for you!

Yes you can just change the bulbs over...10k is a little much I think though.
Here's mine when I changed them over to 8k, bright white with a nice subtle blue tint
Standard left --- 8k right
Most new cars nowadays have lights as bright as this anyway, some with even more of a blue/purple tint...Mercs / Audi's / Jags etc...
You won't attract any attention as long as your not driving like a loon, hope that helps

A friend of a friend had one in that strange almost 'rainbow; colour....I only saw it once or twice, sorry I don't know the models!
Looked absolutely stunning, rare, had great road presence, V8 sounded amazing
however...
it was soon gone...all I heard was that it essentially fell apart slowly from frequent use, parts were expensive to replace I think he said.
They're nice though lol

Welcome along, i'm in Gillingham think you know Mitchell Platt with the very nice Ibiza...had a go with me once when I was basically running slicks with awful grip and careful throttle....beat me apparently though
-
Welcome, another owner in Kent
-
My Y-pipe was also a massive pain removing....1 hour later with a mates angle grinder, job done.
Remember to put a tiny bit of copperslip on all your new bolts too will help you in the future if you need to revert back.
-
Will this plenum spacer also fit a 2004 280 model?
If so i'll take this off your hands if it comes with the correct fittings
-
Only watching one at the moment and it's brilliant, on Season 2...
The Following power to the Bacon!
-
Did it have a rear spoiler? (Nismo I may think?)
If it did I see this guy all the time coming home from work...actually saw him last night on the M2 by the Gillingham exit as I came off...he was honestly tanking it
Either way hope they are ok.

Last time i'll post this guy, assume he's just not on here...
Spotted yesterday and this morning, the previous one I spotted in a car park opposite my work...now parking in the car park we use.
Definitely needs a clean! had nasty scuff on front bumper...
and this morning parked next to me...
Up close I could see some subtle modding...
small aerial / debadged '350' / rear and quarter windows tints / front chrome lower grill - not sure on that :S
Either way I'm liking it in white
-
Interested in the lip mate, where did you buy it from?
Thanks

Will definitely take the throttle controller if evest doesn't

These are pretty much the same as my Berk decats (on a standard exhaust system), they sound absolutely immense really lets that V6 sound through...
Well worth £50
-
Module turned up in good time, packed well and works great
Cheers Stu

Hey Steve,
Washer part turned up the other day, packed well safe and sound
Cheers
-
Drivers side washer bottle intact? Need one asap
-
Do you have the drivers side plastic washer bottle? If so I just need the plastic bottle, no motor or water hose feeds
Cheers

Cheers guys! much better forum here than some that iv'e seen, lot's of handy info
as WhackyWill noticed, a few subtle changes since...stubby aerial / Bosch Flatblades / LED numberplate bulbs and some pressed plates, simple little things that bring it up to date nicely
Will need to get some sort of progess thread underway

Hi guys,
Just thought i'd introduce myself on here finally. Iv'e always pretty much wanted a Z and I finally picked a black one up just over a month ago near Harrow...she's completely standard, full Nissan history, very clean inside and out only ever used as a weekend car, 23k
Big upgrade from my old Corsa...it drives absolutely great, looks great, really chuffed with it plus the added attention it brings!
pics with my bros car...do love jap
Based in S/E Kent...have not really seen any other 350's around to be honest!
Cheers guys!

BlaqkAudio - STS Turbo Zed Thread

Been on here a while now. I think it's a good time to finally start a progress thread and keep everything organized with the Zed lots to report on!
So here's my first car, she served me well!
and here's the Zed when I first picked her up last November 2013...
Came from a loving home in Harrow, only used only as a weekend car always kept in a garage, full Nissan service history, no niggles.
Touring model, 22K miles on the clock
I had already become addicted with buying bits before even picking her up...short airiel and Bosch flatblades have already been added. Look great, give a more modern look and work much better than the old wipers
Next on the list was interior LEDs, boot light and map lights
Visors I have left, the LEDs I’ve seen on them in pictures are far too bright for my liking.
LED number plate lights in & pressed plate on rear
Next up a new a cargo net originally from a Peugeot, cost £5, fits almost perfect and does it's job
8k bulbs and LED sidelights arrived, fitted right away, great mod that cost a few cuts to the hands. Old (left) New (right):
Berk decats turned up. Firstly wow, the weight comparison is crazy which was expected. The original cats with their heat shields really did weigh a ridiculous amount!
Fitting:
Comparison:
Fitted and took for a test drive...I was blown away by the sound! She’s a little monster after 3k revs! No cabin drone and sensible motorway cruising is still surprisingly almost silent
Christmas came, got some neat little Z dust caps from the bro.
Unfortunately during the cold and wet winter period I came into contact with a small wooden bollard, put a nice dent in my bumper, needed replacing sooner rather than later...
Had to get a new bumper...couldnt find an OEM one at the time
Here she is after getting her into my mates bodyshop, spraying and fitting over the weekend:
The bumper also had 2 tiny mounting holes. I measured the diameter and popped up B&Q. Got 2 'lightweight' brackets along with the correct size screw and washers to fit perfectly.
Brackets fitted and new square plate going on, well pleased...
I then decided to experiment with plasti-dip, can turned up, I got to work.
Side repeaters, rear repeaters and exhaust tips done
Really like the matt look it gives and durability is still perfect today (5 months on)
Next up was my music, I considered a new head unit but I liked everything working as it is with the Bose and steering controls. I saw the AUX mod but didn’t want to go that route either.
So:
Monster cassette adapter turned up, the cool bit red on the cable end pleases me lol
Then I got hold of a Brodit ProClip dash mount
Holder turned up to be attached so that got mounted.
All together and working:
Looks really smart, does the job, doesnt shake or wobble either
Kept an eye on the forums and got myself the Bluetooth adapter so I can finally use it for the first time in the car. I go onsite a fair bit at work and more often than not it’s only when driving that everyone wants to call me! One of the best things I’ve got so far to be honest quite chuffed.
My ocd started to kick in aggressively with the heated seat switches…why oh why.
Finished result with the switches on appropriate sides and blanking plate in the middle, how it should have been!!!
Most recent mod was to finally cure my strange rattling noise in the exhaust system…since fitting the berks I’m confident an old piece of cat broke and fell into the old Y pipe.
Arrived!
Getting the old one off was so much effort...the bolts just wouldn’t budge even with a day’s WD40 soaking beforehand...we had to resort to spending the majority of the evening angle grinding the damn thing off
Final bolts with new one in place:
Again...a fair weight saving compared to the old one with its all-round heat shielding
After fitting we shook the old one and hey presto a tiny piece of cat fell out. Took for a test drive, rattling gone! Also slightly louder
I know people slate Japspeed in general but I have no quibbles with this, the welds were great and the fitment was perfect straight out the box
