What forged piston compression ratio are people running with there SC setups?
I hear a lot of people run 11:1 but wouldn't that be limiting the amount of fuel you can get in the engine defo detonation occurs?
By running a lower compression 9.5:1 you can safely add a lot more fuel without det meaning a lot more power?
I understand it would be slower off the go but the top end would be immense.
Has anyone tried this or have any thoughts on it?

Cheers guys hopefully the one way vavle will sort it otherwise I'll get a better hose and try again

Ok cool cheers for help, infact I've just found one in my box of goodies, hopefully this will be good enough, what do you think?

Awesome thanks, no I don't have a non return valve fitted between servo an plenum, I'll buy one and give it a try

So I'm having an issue and wondered if someone can help, I've recently gone supercharged and I've now noticed that if I'm pushing hard and slam the brakes on It takes a split second or so for the brakes to engage, can be quite worrying because it feels as if the cars not going to stop, then suddenly it brakes as normal.
So only thing I can think of is I changed to a cosworth intake a while before and had to change the brake hose for a longer one and maybe this new hose is collapsing now when it the intake pressure goes from boost to vacuum.
Only happens when I'm really pushing the car. Does anyone have an idea what it might be?
I'm guessing first thing I should do is get a better vacuum hose and try that but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this?

I'm cool with new date, would prefer day time but not to bothered, you just won't be able to check out my supercharged beast in the dark
Can you post the postcode of the place will make it easier for us guys

SC Forged comp ratio?
in Forced Induction
Posted
Cheers for the response guys, so I have a V2 T trim SC, I'm wondering how much boost/flow I can get out of this thing then? Can I get enough to run low comp or will I just run out of puff.
I'm only running it at 43,000 rpm at 8psi and it's rated for 55,000 in its efficiency range.
Thanks again guru's
