i would need stock parts in return and could offer to either have your parts sent to me to which i would fit them and send the parts back to you once completed, with work i would probably need around a week for turnaround of parts. Otherwise i would be happy for you to come to my house on a weekend and we will swap the parts out over the course of the day. I am located in walsall, five minutes from junction 10 of the M6.

I do have additional more indepth photos of individual items, barring the exhaust and coilovers as they are fitted to the car so hard to photograph.

All parts are in used condition, but all in good working order. If you are interested in anything please let me know and i will supply you with further photos showing individual condition of said items.

If there is anything else on the car that isnt advertised above that you are interested in feel free to message me about them.

    Thanks for looking.

  2. Not quite sure yet whether or not i will be going through with this, im currently looking to buy my first house and the zed realistically needs to be sold to help fund this. I have the car for sale at the moment and have had a few viewers but people seem to prefer a stock car rather than heavily modified, although i do understand it is quite a niche car.

If i were to break the car i would need stock parts in return and could offer to either have your parts sent to me to which i would fit them and send the parts back to you once completed, with work i would probably need around a week for turnaround of parts. Otherwise i would be happy for you to come to my house on a weekend and we will swap the parts out over the course of the day.

  3. A DA should be fine for what your after mate, they can cut through some pretty serious paint defects aswell. I would highly recomend doing some research over on detailing world to learn a good technique to get you started aswell.

This was one of my first attempts learning on my dads accord.

As you can see the paint was very scratched in places and full of swirls.

Using one of the starter kits from CYC posted above i managed to get to this in around 2 hours.

Not perfect but a great improvement from before and relatively easy as long as your patient.

  4. One of my first cars besides boring stuff, a mitsi colt, with an engine swap, painted by myself.

Then i moved onto a CRX

    P1000079.jpg

Which also ended up with an engine swap/cage/buckets/big brakes etc

And finally also got the satin black treatment, and is now owned by tegiwa

    Then i turned into a grandad in a 528

After catching the RWD bug i bought this stage2 14a

    sx2_zpsd2f92f27.jpg

Had this thrown in there somwhere aswell

    20130623_182203_zps151d4916.jpg

The 14 ended up looking like this before it was sold

    2013-08-15192334_zps9ee9fa35.png

Which led to my first Z

    2013-11-04160404_zps13856a56.png

which i then traded in against this Z

  5. My car is about as low as above, and i dont think i have scraped once over bumps, best way to take them i find is to just go really slow over the ones that are one solid bump for the whole road, or if its a split bump put your drivers wheels in the gap between the bumps and passenger wheels pretty central, obviously again taking it nice and slow.

  6. Upon purchasing my Z it had a carbon bonnet, spoiler and front lip, but the spoiler and bonnet were in good condition but quite cloudy in places from UV damage over the years. I visited my local detailing shop (midlands car care) to ask what there advice would be on the matter, they told me i should be able to cut the lacquer back a little to reduce the cloudyness using my DA polisher, so i purchased a few recomended products from them and set about having a go as i figured worst case scenario means i have to get them relacquered.

I thought id test it out on the spoiler blade as it was simple to remove and allowed me get it easily under cover out of the poor weather.

I started out by claying the spoiler to remove any surface contaminants, and then once dry used a soft pad and auto finesse tripple on the DA.

This was the first section after a quick pass compared to the original finish ( the cloudyness seemed a lot worse after claying )

I then did the rest of the spoiler but could really have done with using a harsher compound and pad as it still has a little hazyness left.

Next up is the bonnet although i think relacquering may still be the best option for the best finish.
