  1. The scratches on the windows are a common problem, there's a few threads about it on here. Sorry to say this, but your not getting them out. Toothpaste will work on the plastic headlights but not on the glass.

  2. I was going to suggest the CAT heat shield but its looks plastic in the picture. If it is the heat shield its not important, its rusts away on most cars.

Here's a picture of the underside to help you.

  3. Just ask them to leave it on next time. See if they will comply.

When I took my car to Halfords I checked my dashcam footage after. They had left it on, and it showed them being useless and abusing my car.

Did you complain about this? Big company that is scared of bad press. Although each branch is treated as individual, its still the halfords banner. Id say bring it to mine next time and ill look after it, but Burton is a trek from Wakefield

I took my car to Halfords to have the air con refreshed, the young guy <25 was really sheepish about giving me the keys back and even watched me drive off. The manager said he loved my car.

It was a bit weird so I checked the footage and the first thing the kid said when he got in my car to drive it into the service bay was ‘I got to take this out for a spin later’…

Not sure if you need a drive to check the air cons working! He did take it out, but only went ~1000 meters around the industrial estate and was just about under the speed limit, although he got there a bit fast. Decided in the end there was no harm done, and it gave the kid 3 minutes of enjoyment, so didn’t report it.

  4. You could take your buckets, shampoo, pre wash, mitts and wheel brush to a buy time jet wash. I did this for years and still do now and it's great. £1/£2 ie the minimum to get things going with your pre wash and jet off for your 400 seconds allowing time to also part fill your bucket.

Wash the car as you would then normally taking as much time as you need. Then another £1/£2 to then finally jet the car off.

You could then pull the car round to the side to dry off or the drive home will do this for you - bingo. My Local BP is just £1 for a few minutes, so £2 is all that's needed.

That's pretty much what I do if I'm in a rush.

    Otherwise I have this:

    http://www.kleers.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=65&product_id=66

Its a portable battery powered jet wash.

The plastic on the fixtures is incredibly week though. I've had 2 replacement guns and one replacement hose in the ~3 years I've had it. Kleers have always provided the replacements free of charge though.

  5. I've got a pair for sale

Its everything except the mirror as seen below. This is an old pic, they are now black but would need a respray. I could take some photos of what they currently look like if you're interested.

£160 for the pair (the mirrors are ~£40 each so be careful getting them out!)

  6. Easiest thing is to go straight up into the cubby hole. Others have used a longer cable and gone into the arm rest box (where the Bluetooth adapter is). I don't think you have to make any holes yourself, but to go to the arm rest you need to pull up more trim.

Plenty of pictures in this thread.

There's some in build thread too.

  7. I live with 2 single women both on dating sites and I’m also single and I’m all the dating sites.

When I started using them I set up a fake woman’s profile to see what kind of messages I’d be up against and can confirm Women get loads of messages and yes most of them are crud one liners. Reading them all becomes like a second job. They aren’t going to read them all. If the messaging platform only show your picture and that you’ve sent a mail, then they are probably deleting/not reading based on your profile picture alone.

Sh!t, I do the same and only get a few unsolicited emails a month. I pretty much only contact women who have clicked a like/want to meet button on my profile. My success rate of random emailing is terrible.

You also have to factor in that many of the accounts your emailing are probably dead accounts.

POF has the most people on it but its also full fo dead accounts and spammers. Match is better but their business practices are horrible, just trying to get money out you at every turn.

To be honest I get more success out of Tinder/Bumble these days. I find OKCupid the best out of the traditional sites

Also I much prefer for a woman not to reply, than say thanks but no thanks.

  8. In stead of banning anyone in the future, you guys should just block anyone from seeing their posts.

      2.

the practice of ending a personal relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication.
