Hi The face of my Bose unit does not seem to talk to the head unit. the radio/cd and cassette all work fine except the selector buttons on the face unit don't work. having spoken here on the forum it appears the face can be separated from the main unit. Would anyone have any ideas why the buttons don't work? Cheers JJ350Z

Good thinking out loud! Yes they may be. As all the buttons have failed on my unit I wouldn't mind betting its something pretty straight forward but am not quite brave enough to tackle it myself unless I know someone has either encounted the same problem or may know how to fix it!!

HI 14N has just confirmed they are linked to their own ECU. More problematic than I first thought. Wonder if I can use yours to rectify the fault I have with the selector buttons not working? Need more tech advice to determine if this would work

Hi Can anyone confirm if I am able to swap my existing head unit for another matching Z headunit without a problem? I have heard the headunit may be linked to a specific ECU Cheers

Ok fine yes pics wld be good. where are you? will try and check out if I can simply swap it over or if they may be matched to the ECU

Hi My original unit is playing up. The CD works fine! however all the selector buttons are not working. I am keen to get an original player fitted can anyone help? Cheers JJ350z

Hi As a new member I wondered if any-one could help me with an issue with the standard Nissan stereo in my soon to be purchased 350Z. Some of the buttons have stopped working on the head unit, ie the pre selector numbers 1-6, and the cd skip track button. I can select preselected stations from the steering wheel ok and CD ok its just on the head unit. Can anyone help? Thanks
