I got Dirt Rally last night. Can't keep the car in a straight line!
Amazing game, with a proper steering wheel & pedal set up it's next level.

Is it because you are only viewing 'unread' topics?

Ah man I was enjoying going through that, thread ended too soon!

I'll be there as always!

£900 worth of pure waftyness.
I swear it's the best 'mod' I've ever to the 350Z, as it completely recalibrates you to what normal is, and makes you appreciate the Z so much more. Plus it's so refreshing having a car you care so little about. Leave it anywhere etc!

Sold to Andy!
Many thanks,

Selling my Seasucker bike rack, suitable for carrying 2 bikes. Includes 2 spare suckers purchased at considerable cost (I used them as camera mounts) and a 20mm axle mount (currently fitted) in space of the regular QR mount.
Fantastic bit of kit, completely stable and so easy to use / store. Perfectly happy carrying 2 hefty downhill bikes around the Welsh twisties, most of the time you forget it's even there.
The only reason I'm selling is that I've bought a daily barge, so it makes sense to just use that to lug the bikes about.

Went and looked at a car from him, very nice and knowledgeable but couldn't make it work price-wise.
From what I've observed I'd have no reservations buying a car from him.

In exactly the same situation, 'cept a couple of k lower budget wise.
I'm thinking Elise 111R / VX220 Turbo / Cayman S...
(EDIT: Sorry just read your requirements properly, ignore the first 2 suggestions - I have a short-ish country side commute and no children!)

Just do the 'bose aux input hack'
For about £2. Exactly the same result.

Awesome, thanks everyone. I'm actually really excited to have a car that I truly don't give a monkeys about.

I've just bought a very old cottage which means massive renovation work, which in turn means many many trips to the dump!
I'd also like to do some more work on the Z getting her perfect, but needing it back together for work each morning is putting a stop to that.
So I'm thinking I need an estate shed. Something that's so rubbish it'll make me appreciate the Z even more..
Local to me is a 1999 Civic Aerodeck, 1.6 auto, 128k, some history for £300... Can't go wrong surely?
I'm fairly handy mechanically, but if anything big goes wrong I'll just scrap it.
I have read that the autos can be problematic, but was wondering if any of you can offer some advice?
Picture for inspiration:
Cheers!

Where did you get your clear indicator bulbs from? I ordered the Silvatec BU582S but they were a poor fit, not very bright and got too hot so put the orange ones back in. have ordered a different make from ebay but they haven't arrived and the seller isnt responding. Nightmare.Ordered a set of these, just got an email saying he's just gone on holiday 'till the end of the month. Hopefully it isn't a repeat of what happened to you!
Mine were silvertec but had none of the issues you are describing? Perhaps you just got part of a bad batch?

Always nervous when the only pics fitted are CGI renders.

Yeah, literally have just come in from fitting them!

I'm in a similar position where I'm not sure if mines been done with over 100k on the clock. If it has been done, great! If not, great! The car must have had a fairly easy life for it to have lasted so long.

Seat side mounts anyone?
I thought self-promotion wasn't allowed on this thread?

Am I the only one that thinks the car is actually pretty hard to provoke? Even in the wet with TC off... You've got to really jab at the wheel / throttle to get it unsettled.

I've hit the limiter at 155mph on the way to the Nurburgring. Felt absolutely fine! You've nothing to worry about at normal road going speeds.

They look absolutely fantastic, well done bud!
EDIT: Get some silvered indicator bulbs in there as well!

I'd always go 350Z over Mk3, no competition.
350Z over Mk1? Well, there's no doubt the 350Z is a better car in almost every way, but I do wish I never got rid of the Mazda!
