  1. Search, an owner on here did it, iirc it took a bit of fabricating as the Gtr is wider than you think

I'll have a search now then cheers! :)

Yeah, reading from the video desc. it sounds like some fabrication and relocation of the hangers needed!

I did this about a year ago. Sounds awesome. I got the exhaust 2 years old for £50 on the GTR forum. Check my posts for video and pictures :)

Awesome, cheers mate! Just read up on another thread of someone who ahas done the same. Is it just the backbox you have or the centre section too?

How much fabrication work was involved and if you don't mind me asking (assuming someone else did it for you) how much did it cost you in labour to have it fitted?

Yes it came as back box with long center section (all one piece) and 4 chrome tips. I dropped it off at a custom exhaust garage at 9am and picked it up at 3pm at a cost of £200 I think.

The center pipe on the gtr pipe was chopped off and the backbox welded to the 350z center pipe. The exits pipes where chopped off the gtr pipe, shortened and welded back on as it's insane how wide the exhaust is! When it's finished it fits perfectly where the standard pipe sits. Sounds more aggressive with no drone and the big tips look great. What's not to love.

Thanks for th info bud, that's great! Very good value then if it cost you £250 all in! I'm still trying to decide between this option and a custom exhaust from a local place but gonna have a browse on the GTR forum now to see if any are for sale!

I got mine from a guy on the GtR forum who had 3 of them. Since I fitted mine two other people have asked me about it and bought the guys remaining exhausts. So there are plenty out there, just some people seem to want ridiculous money for them. Best of luck!

  4. Have wondered what a 335d is like to drive.

Always thought that these sorts of cars would be too clinical and wont feel like a 'drivers' car. Masses of torque and great mpg for the performance but feels a little dull and doesnt sound that great.

Dont park it in a multistory car park, you will lose it in amongst all the other BMW's!!

I completely agree. But the massive torque produced from the two turbo's easily make up for the lack of noise and drama. Always put a huge smile on my face. The only thing I hate is that every other car is a 3 series so you do blend in. But I guess there popular for a reason :)

  5. Thanks for the nice comments! I agree I'm abit worried about garage bills encase anything does go wrong as EVERYTHING is electronic and has a sensor. It even passes you your seatbelt when you get in :O miss the noise and drama of the Zed but the BMW feels solid and just more refined. Only time will tell!

  6. So I had the Zed for a couple of years but fancied a change. Its was a beautiful Z with 45k on the clock.

Always loved the look of the E92 and with performance and economy of the 335 I decided to go for it!

So far I love it. Its got all the toys and with the twin turbos it feels quicker then the Zed, its just missing the noise of the GTR pipe I had on! Soon to go in for a remap that will take it to 350bhp and 700nm :)

And just to rub it in im averaging 45mpg ;)

    All comments/questions are welcome :)

  7. Just put a load of this through out my zed to try and stop some road noise ..... Worked wonders ! Put 4mm all over the rear arches and boot floor and 2mm around the rear speaker area and front doors , cost about £70 but worth doing . Now all I need is to get rid of those very loud Bridgestone tyres! Just thought I'd share in case anyone was thinking of doing it :)

I have been thinking about doing this! Which stuff did you buy and where from?

  8. Nice engine, probably the worst photos i've seen of a car. Looks like they have been taken on an old iPhone 2

Strange. I'm viewing via mobile app and they look really good quality?
