I was planning on putting the stock sub back in (not really worth it in my opinion) but my loving family binned it when clearing out the shed!

I guess they had the same opinion of it as me

I still have the sub and box, can include for the right price - but the amp itself I need. So all you'd need is an amp and you'll be set with an immense sound system!

Having had this beauty for around 2 years now, it's time for me to become a family man and get something with 4 doors . Hopefully I can come back to the Zed soon enough! No other car has kept me interested for 2 years straight!

Had that thing before with the radio on an old car. It was quite funny actually.

had the same problem in my 350z, cleaned with warm soapy water, left out fully extended to dry, worked a treat, surprising how dirty they were but it was over 8 years old tho.

Looks like a definite thing for me to try then!

Sometimes on idle it sounds like a diesel van which i hate!

I had the exact same mod a year or so ago (ultra-light flywheel and sports clutch), the chatter is gonna be loud. Without the spring-loaded dual mass flywheel, all the shudder of an unbalanced V6 will go through your gearbox. Especially on idle it chatters/rattles a lot, and when moving off under a bit of load it sounds like a grind, but its just the rattle that sounds a bit weird.

A year on and I've not had any problems with it at all, you kinda learn how to rev up to avoid it sounding stupid!

Interestingly enough I'm having the same thing on my 350z, exact same symptoms; belt rarely retracts, but if fed back slowly and carefully it'll eventually wind up. I may take it apart or pull it out and try a clean! see if that helps

I'd advise a lot of reading up though as it's easy to brick your device, I had to do this twice but luckily I made the install self-recoverable somehow, can't remember how! But people do talk about how to enable recovery if the install messes up

I built a rear-facing 10" under-strut box for my Z, which I am now selling so the enclosure is also up for sale separately . It fits pretty snug under the strut and sounds immense! (see my build thread to see me actually building the box )
