  1. Better option. Find a safe private piece of land and try to make the car do a doughnut, if you succeed the tcs is off but then there should be 2 lights on the rev counter. If you don't succeed the tcs is on and I'm better your button is fooked.

I will try and find a safe private piece of land, that did make chuckle but yeah think that is the best option. Could it only be the button then? if it is knackered

  2. Hey Guys/Gals,

I have a 2003 Zed Import and I'm pretty sure the TCS button doesn't work as the light doesn't come on below the rev counter. I really want to get this fixed as I'm not a fan of the traction control kicking in when it feel like. Its more fun know I have full control of the car and that the ECU isn't making choices for me.

So if anyone could help me out before I start searching all over the web to find answers from idiots, I'd much rather listen to guys that know what they are talking about.

    Thank yoooooou

(I did post this in insurance as well by mistake as I am retarded)

  3. Maybe just a faulty button, does the TCS or slip lights ever flash up if you are a little over enthusiastic?

Nothing comes up on the dash which is making me think it could be a bulb issue or the switch. the traction control just kicks in as I can feel it, but no warning lights.

  5. I have a JDM import 350z and I have the jap screen/nav unit in the cubby hole. I want a gps unit in there so I'm gonna take that one out and put another one in to replace and that it will work in the uk.

My main question is can I use my car speakers for both units, as I already have the bottom unit to play my music and radio but if I put the new NAV/DVD unit in can I run that trough the same speakers??

I really dont know and dont wanna start splicing into them if its gonna mess with it.

  7. :welcome: - most folk with imports simply remove the sat nav and put their own system in

I think thats what Im gonna end up doing. I know its possible to to run 2 x double din units but is it possible to run sound from both? As i already have the lower one installed and hooked up to my speakers. If i was to replace the jap top screen with a 7" dvd/gps screen is there a way to have the sound coming from the same speakers in my car/

Hope that makes sense and if anyone else can help that would save me alot of playin around with wires.

  8. hellllo everyone :p

I've recently bought a 2003 350Z fairlady, first of all what an awesome car! secondly it has the dvd/satnav in but its all in japanese!! I have read alot of threads with kinda ways to either change the navigation unit (using one from a nissan primera) or changing the screen itself to a 7" touch screen one.

Does any one know the best and easiest way to sort this out as I would like to have the satnav/dvd working.

Any help would be awesome and hopefully I'll get myself to a meet soon.

    Cheers guys/gals
