  1. Hey guys,

Today, I decided enough was enough! I've been using a bluetooth FM transmitter to listen to music and the quality isn't the best.

My CD player decided to stop playing CDs so I took it completely apart today to clean the lens. However, upon doing so, I accidentally loosened where the CD's stack and I had to put it back together.

Small problem, only the first disc space now works; it won't load any other discs.

I don't suppose anyone has a diagram showing how to install this? I could play about with it but I'd be there a while!

    Cheers,

    Corbsy

  2. Oh thank god :) No performance issues, still running like a beast! I'll take a look at the heat shields, and if I fail to do so, I'll take it to a garage and report back here. It's just the sound that it makes just gets me nervous that I'll blow my big end or something just as bad/expensive! (no sexual innuendos intended)

  3. Hi guys,

I've noticed recently that my Zed has a noticeable vibration/rattling noise after 4000rpm whilst accelerating in all gears - it doesn't seem to do it at a standstill.

Anyone experienced a similar issue? It's a bit hard to get a sound recording of the sound but the noise is coming from the front of the car and the sound has seemed to move from the middle of the car to more to the right although still pretty central. I'm worried that something could be potentially be wrong with the engine so I'm driving very cautiously. Although my wallet is grateful, I'm not!

Obviously to hear the sound is normally a necessity in these cases so does anyone know a reputable garage in the South East - preferably near the Blackwater/Camberley area?

    Cheers,

    Corbsy

  4. make sure u check the spoiler before giving it to the garage. I had to remove my oem spoiler to wrap the car, and I thought it was glued on.

Its secured by 2 bolts at left and right hand side, and im pretty sure theres 2 of those clips that always break, in the middle of the spoiler.

All around the spoiler is the double sided sticky tape which is normally used to hold badges on cars. If you use the fishing wire to try take the tape off, you will get caught on both bolts, and wont be able to get the sticky stuff removed from the rest of the spoiler.

The way I done it, was I got a Stanley knife (well... the scalpel thingy) and slowly had my mate lift up the spoiler so I could slowly slice through the sticky stuff.

Make sure u know its glued, and not just double sided the whole way. it is a bitch, and took me about 4hrs trying to get it off before I tried scalpal

The garage has done work for me before and I would put money on you being right but I am in no position to go up.

To be honest the boot lid had a mark it next to the window and I used this as an excuse to get the badge removed so it feels a bit better.

I will have 2 nissan burger badges if anyone wants them, no charge as if not they are going in the bin

I'll take your badges? Mine are a little worse for wear :(

  5. Ok, I'm not technically a new member (I've been on here 2 months) but I've yet to post here!

Anyway, new owner of a 350z coupe GT Nismo - loving every minute of the ride!

I cleaned her up very nicely today so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to say hey!

  6. How much does the Wheel Specialist charge for 4 wheels? I just want them done in piano glossy black :)

They have an on line quote generator BUT they may undercut that price when you contact them.

Oh ok, great. Thanks a lot. I'll have a look on their website :)

  7. Hi guys,

I bought a Zed a couple of months back and as part of the deal with a trader, they agreed to refurb the wheels. Fast forward a few months, it's clear to me that they have used the most cheapest paint I've ever come across. I had the two front tyres changed recently and I watched the guys fit the wheels. They didn't use the traditional crowbar type tool to get the wheels on and off, they had the plastic variant. When the wheels went over, the little heat that it produced, melted away the finish of the alloys and now it just peels off like chewing gum.

Rather than speak to those people who sold me the car, I've decided to do it myself and do it properly. Any suggestions on a good place in the South East Hampshire/Surrey area?

I'll upload some pics later on to show the extent of the damage. Any advice would be welcome!

    Cheers.

  8. I mis-judged a 3-point turn with the reduced turning circle and I've scraped the front bumper which has left the plastic falling off. About 4 inches wide, 1 inch in height.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I won't be doing it myself, I'll be paying someone else to do it. But I just hope its fixable :-/
