We would normally join at J7 Gatwick... I went out of my way last time to be sociable...
-
Anyone want to convoy from M25 junction 9 area?
We'd meet up for a drive out
-
A really belated thank you to the uber generous Zed Shed family for welcoming me on my first visit to Dorset. A great run out on a beautiful sunny day, fuelled mostly by coffee, ciggies and lively banter. Oh, yeah... and they (well, Kim) fixed my car too! Think my rear end looks better than ever, even if I do say so myself
Happy days, lovely ethos... all is well with the world.
See you all again soon I hope...

Me n' Small will rock up for lunch too... sporting our new look this time

Great pics Colin! Thanks to Martin and Amy for organising, and to everyone else who either supplied car cleaning products or ended up childminding my daughter whether they wanted to or not. Grundy - I owe you some new trainers
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

I don't know if this is much help,
I asked a local body shop with regards to price of spraying a bonnet and front bumper. They said to me they'd like to do the wings so everything was Matched. I got quoted £400.
Might be another thing to consider and ask for how much the work would be in that situation.
I'd like my bonnet resprayed anyway so that might be the best idea. Was trying to get it done in time for Incarnation on 26-Apr but that's not going to happen if we're looking at a full front end respray
Still, better to drop the deadline and get it done properly I guess... *stamps feet impatiently*
Thanks again for everything

Probably too late, but heres some more paint code deets from Spies Hecker, this page is specifically relates to KH3 on the bumper
http://cdb.shcolor.i...isplayType=grid
and apparently this is the "Accent" colour for the bumper
I can't view either of these pages as I'm not registered...
-
Thanks so much Humpy for going out of your way to get that info for me, I'll pass it onto the bodyshop now.
I think like Coldel says, the problem is I've got 8 year old faded paint on the rest of the car (not to mention so many stone chips on the bonnet it looks like metallic paintwork!) so the best bet is going to be to get swatches of all five and compare them in the cold light of day.
And I naively thought black was just black...
You live and learn

I will drive down there now and find out for you
YOU ARE A LEGEND!!!!

I can try to find out from my body shop as they done my Kuro.
Would you mind? The paintshop want to spray mine at midday tomorrow...
-
So... I'm having my front bumper resprayed and the paintshop have gone off to get paint (code KH3) and come back saying there's five different variations of Kuro Black, the standard solid paint then:
- Light
- Red
- Yellow
- Green
We got a basic sample and it looks slightly too red. Without paying £25 per sample to test them all I don't know what to do.
Someone must have re-painted a Kuro black car... what paint did you use??
Thanks!

Might suggest that whoever is arranging the meet (if that is the decision) pms the names on the list, rather than revealing that location/time publicly
Colin's been watching too many spy films
Don't worry - I've got a rough idea...
-
Can you give me a clue what kind of time in the morning you're talking about meeting so I can decide whether to bring the sprog with me or not...
-
Sorry for the delayed response. Katy, everyone is welcome so will be good to see you for the duration. Will be sending out details for the day next week. Lets hope the sun shines..
Payco
Thanks Martin
If my evil plan comes together in time we might not be as 'stock' after all *mwahahahaha*
Should definitely try and meet up beforehand to save people (like me) getting lost, confused and ending up on a different stand!

Dammit! Been hibernating through the winter, but less than 24 hours after logging on again, I'm already spending money. Put me down as a definite for some gloss black sidesteps and rear spats please
Could we chuck some TS style rear diffusers into the mix perhaps and really let the spending commence...?
*begins to wish she hadn't asked...*

Cars are for driving. Don't believe in saving the best stuff for a rainy (or sunny in this context) day...

Me n' Small would be up for this.
We’re a stock standard, daily driver so are happy to go on the stand to make up numbers, but are equally easy going about being kicked off nearer the time in favour of a better ‘looker’...

I was working the day of this event but the girlfriend who loves driving was on her advanced driving day and stumbled upon the meet at the grasshopper.
She said to me that she had approached a couple of people on this to say hi and see what was happening etc (she was in a blue zed). I'm not sure what happened though as she text me saying that whoever she spoke to were quite dismissive of her to the point one word answers.
Are these events specific to certain members? Seems a shame if they are.
That really surprises me. I didn't know anyone at this meet, recognised a couple of faces but hadn't actually spoken to anyone before. I was blown away by how welcome my daughter and I were made to feel and how friendly and easygoing everyone was. I think perhaps your gf was there at the very start before it had really kicked off. If you're new the first 30mins or so are always a bit awkward. Don't let it put either of you off... It's a really good crowd

'Scuse my ignorance if I'm wrong, but are these the ones you're after?
OH FFS, they're out of stock! I bloody hate websites that will let you place and order, take your money and then contact you a week later saying "oh we don't have it"... that should be made illegal!!
Dislike
When do you need it by?

Every time i park my Zed i have an uncontrollable urge to keep looking back at it as i walk away!!...anyone watching must think 'jeez what a Kn*b' (or worse!!)...i can only describe it as if a rather nice curvy bottomed lady were to pass me in the street and id have to sneakily turn round and gaze at the splendid view as she passed!!...ok well you know what i mean dont you!!...no?? ummm...
I've got to admit, I still do this too...
To my car, not curvy bottomed ladies.
