  1. Quick question...

been looking around and the going rate for a zed my age seems way off what I thought she was worth.

Whats an achievable price to ask for:

    54 plate 350z GT Gunmetal

    51k miles

brand new MPSS “done about 4K miles”

brand new discs/pads about 3k miles ago

full service history, last service was big one with full change of all fluids etc

    MOT till June

    generally good condition.

A general guide would would be helpful.

  2. Hi all,

Had the zed in storage for a year and getting it back on the road and want suggestions to upgrade speakers, base maybe the amp and head unit. I've already got a pioneer double din head unit but gonna replace it along with all the stock

    Any good suggestion ?

  3. Hey,

So after a year of pandering I finally purchased discs and pads all round and fitted them last week as well as a full system bleed and now done about 200 miles with them so thought I would share what I think.

So, first wheel took me over an hour to do but all the others where done in 30mins each so not too bad, the rears where the trickiest with the handbrake adjustment as the discs where proper tight but all good now.

I'm only about 200miles in but the difference is amazing, super smooth and very responsive a much better upgrade over the OEMs I have found the pads do seem a little dusty that normal but break dust as a rule doesn't really bother me. I was concerned about breaking noise but this combo is super silent when driving at all speeds and no sound when breaking.

Now that the coating has come off the discs they look really nice as they are slotted, so far I would highly recommend these over the OEM,s it's my first break change on the zed so no comparison but I'm happy with them so far!!!

    Thanks

  4. Hi all

Was planning on doing my discs ages ago but only getting round to ordering. Got both turbo gold and USR discs in my basket for both front and rears and I'm undecided which to get. They are the same price and I was going with USRs as they are quiet but I'm lead to believe the turbo gold are better????

Don't do track days just occasional heavy road use, also I'm tossing up between yellow or red stuff? What you think?

    Thanks

  5. So I'm after some advice as im totally confused... I'm going to be replacing both the discs and pads on my 54 plate zed with this years service in a few weeks and it looks like the stock ones are still on and given its only done 40k "ish" miles I guess that's expected.

Anyway, what's a good decent replacement as I don't really want to go with stock ones and like the black drilled discs but don't know which ones. All advice welcome!

  6. Hey everyone,

Not posted much recently, been crazy with work and life and the poor zed has been in storage since last summer and it's time I got her out but I want to do a full uber service on her.

It's a 54 plate and I was wondering if you could advise on everything I should be changing and where is the best vale place to get supplies these days

    Thanks :)

  7. ... But for a new zed

So just been looking on auto trader and amazed at the prices of some of the 370s and seriously thinking of upgrading but I fear I want like itbas much as my 350? I was also shocked at what you can get for a 350 these days, mines maintained its value based on the prices I've seen for a 54 GT just amazing.

Anyway I wanted to hear your thoughts are the 370z worth it and also would you go manual or auto I like the idea of the flappy paddles but I wonder if that takes the fun out of driving a car like the zed

    All comments welcome !!

  8. Nope not even thought about it

Noticed the rear lights but in the flesh they are very different.

Juke does seem a mish mash of loads of left over parts from the nissan warehouse. Really not a fan but I guess it is different and stands out.

I 2nd that, god knows why I purchased one to be honest I have a tekna pre facelift only got it as I was bored with qashqai and it is a fun car to drive "not as fun as the zed" already planning on getting rid of it :) fancy an ASX.

  9. As a juke and zed owner I am offended... Only joking!!!

To be honest I don't actually think the juke looks like the zed, yeah there are some similar style points but the zed is one sexy beast and well the juke isn't. Also it's built on the note not the micra "sorry couldn't help"

One think that did shock me and what I noticed straight away is that the zed and juke use the same steering wheel, to your point though I do agree as the zed should be unique and have a unquie look and not share common parts with something like a juke.

If you look at the lights on the new qashqai they are also zed inspired

  10. Hi everyone.

Ordered some stuff from Steve at redline grille and knob the grill arrived but have not been able to get a reply via pm about other item. I know it wasn't in stock when I order so wasn't expecting it but just found it strange I any got a reply as he is über fast and always gets back.

Anyone spoken to him or anyone at redline recently?

    Thanks
