  1. The reason for the CEL is because the expected signal voltage is out of range, because of the absence of the cats, which they are there to monitor, as said get them turned off, some get away with spacers but it wont always help.

Rich - they weren't cheapo generic sensors - proper NTK branded at £85 each from memory.

Thanks, but why would they have been fine for the last 6 months, plus the other sensor is still OK?

  2. Result :teeth:

The joys of the inner workings of the ECU eh?

I did it about 7 times, all with the CEL light flashing as it should, before it actually seemed to 'take'.

  3. Have you changed anything recently, or cleaned the throttle body?

If the idle has always been high try the idle air volume reset.

Do it once the car is warmed up and all switches (fan especially) are off. Mine idles at around 1500 cold and within 30 seconds drops to maybe 1200, then 800 when warm.

If you have Air Con switched on it raises the idle a bit...

  4. Mine gave up a couple of weeks ago. Front washer pump was £7.44 inc P&P from Euro Car Parts here

Simple job - remove the front half of your front driver side arch guard and pull out the old pump from the recess in the washer bottle, disconnect and reconnect the pipe, re-seat the pump and bob's your uncle :)

But if your wash bottle is full it will drain out all over your drive ( / leg, as above  ), so if poss drain the bottle first.

  5. I'd be interested in a set of Rays 18" alloys if anyone is thinking of selling some.

Also an unscratched cubby lid (for a 2004 Coupe). (got this now, thanks to Luke  )

I've got both now. Moderators - please can you lock this thread?

    Thanks,

    Howard
