  1. After being lucky enough to purchase Slimjim's immaculate Zed I thought it was only right to carry on the ownership thread which was extremely interesting and useful to me when I decided to buy it.

I'm very much enjoying the car as it is at the moment but I have a few ideas for what I want to do in the future.

First up I'll soon need 2 new Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 rear tyres

Then once the MOT is out of the way in a couple of months I'll be thinking of a new exhaust. Stock just seems too quiet and polite for my liking so I'm currently looking at the Cobra (non-resonated).

    :yahoo:

  2. A bit later than I hoped but this weekend I will begin my search for the (my) perfect Zed. I've decided to go for a pre-06, just to save on the huge tax jump. I've had a look at the New Members/Potential New Buyers FAQ page and I've had a scan through the forum but can anyone give me some extra tips to look out for? Perhaps based on personal experience.

Or maybe I'm just being too cautious based on past experience...

  3. Thanks to everyone for their welcome's.

    Bad move on the RX8...

You learn by your mistakes though.

Give us a call if you see anything on our site that takes your fancy.

Thanks Greg but you're a little too far South for me, I'm in Lancashire. Great collection you have though and I'm due to take the other half to that Harry Potter thing in Leavesden so 2 birds one stone :)

  4. Hello all!

I'm a prospective owner, currently looking out for the 'right one'. I still need to decide on the version I want and what age (pre or post '06) so hoping to find some useful information on this site. I'm looking at spending around £8k if anyone has any quick tips.

It's been a few years in the making. Around 4 years ago I couldn't decide between an RX8 or a 350z. Sadly I made the wrong choice and just under 2 years of ownership the engine in my RX8, like many, just gave up despite sparing no expense in its maintenance. Lovely car when it worked, I still miss it immensely to this day, but a very expensive mistake (I bought a couple of years before the prices nosedived).
