  1. 22 here with 2 years NCB. Paying £650 with Elephant.co.uk, much cheaper than my previous Seat Leon FR.
  2. Very local! Will keep an eye out for you too, which Z do you drive?
  3. To update on this, light came on at 450 miles. Just filled her up and she only took 67 L, so there was still another 13 L to go before empty. How can this engine be so efficient!? Really impressed.
  4. I pick my girlfriend up from Haywards Heath train station quite often, you'll probably see me about one day!
  5. Off the back of my thread about a QD for day to day use (some good advice, cheers ), wondering what you guys carry with you, if anything? I carry a bottle of QD, micro fibre cloth, bird dropping wipes (use these a lot!) and active insect remover.
  6. I'd prefer not to say exactly, but I'm not far from the Crawley area. I'm really surprised at how well it does on fuel, I'm on 415 miles with 60 miles DTE! That's with a mix of motorways, country roads a little bit of town and the odd blast here and there. When I picked it up, I did 150 motorway miles and it averaged 36mpg at a steady 70mph, really impressive for such a huge engine.
  7. From Thursday last week, I've been a proud Z owner! I bought a stunning 07 grey HR and love it to bits! Took a while to find the right one and had to travel 300 miles to get it but it was absolutely worth it. It's in immaculate condition and has been really well looked after by the previous owner. Coming from a 2.0 turbo car, the 3.5 V6 is miles better, it's just so smooth with really powerful long gears and sounds incredible. The car itself handles brilliantly and I'm loving it more and more every time I drive it. Anyway, forum is full of lots of good info and I've already learnt a lot from it, looking forward to hopefully meeting some other Z owners in the future. Cheers!
  8. Is there one for the HR Z?
  9. Bit off topic, but I'm also near Crawley! Where are you? I enquired with Wheelworks for my previous car and they seemed very good, as they completely strip the wheel back and start again but the wheels were badly kurbed. If they had just the off kurb mark on one then I'd be more inclined to use one of the mobile guys.
  10. Regarding the AA check before you buy, don't do it. They will pick up the stupidest and smallest non-issues and end up putting you off. Person that wanted my previous car before the Z had one of the inspections done and was basically talked out of because the engine apparently made a 'audible ticking noise'... There was nothing wrong with it, having had a new cambelt and major service 4000 miles previously by a very experienced mechanic that I know well. If I was in that position I'd take a proper mechanic or a friend who knows about cars or the car you want in particular as they will know what's normal and what's not.
  11. Hi, Just wondering what you use to keep your cars looking nice between washes? With my previous car, I washed weekly and between the washes I used to just wipe it over with a micro fibre cloth when it got surface dust over it. I did have some Autoglym Rapid Detailer to use with it, but it used to leave a horrible streaky mess behind. Obviously this isn't the best method to use as wiping the cloth over a good paintwork finish could introduce small scratch marks, my previous car had swirl marks over it so I wasn't too fussed but my Z has been absolutely babied by the previous owner and is in immaculate condition so I want to keep this up. As with my previous car I'll keep up a regular claying, polish, wax etc routine, but just want something to keep it looking nice and shiny between washes. As you can probably tell I can't stand a dirty car!! Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi, Have just purchased a HR Z and like most out there the drivers interior window switch plastic trim has scratches all over it. Does anyone know where I can source a replacement? I guess I could remove it and respray it but it seems far easier to just get a replacement. Cheers.
  13. Have now bought a stunning grey Z.
  14. Don't do that! Hold on until the right one comes up, you will only regret it otherwise! There's quite a few 313s about at the moment so I've got a few to go and look at now, they are all over the country but I am prepared to travel pretty much wherever in the UK to get the right one and maybe stretch my budget should I need to. There's still the odd one massively overpriced though, two in particular that have been on Auto Trader for months now. Try not to get too stuck up on the milage, providing it's been serviced properly and looked after well then i'd go for a better condition higher milage example any day.
  15. How much are you looking for?
  16. Between £10k and £12k max. Obviously the lower the better. The past couple of months of research have shown that they are going between £9500 and £11500 for the spec I'm looking at, there seems to be a few about that are massively overpriced and don't seem to be selling as a result.
  17. Hi, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I'm not really interested in a cat D either.
  18. Hi, I'm looking for a 313 GT 350Z GT coupe in good condition. Under 40k miles (lower the better for me), GT pack and latest 313bhp engine. Ideally standard, with the Rays alloys etc and FSH would be good. Reasonable left on MOT + tax also desired. I'm in West Sussex, but of course willing to travel if I find one for the right price and condition. Black or grey preferred, not fussed about interior colour as I like them all. Thanks in advance!
  19. Cheers for the advice. Looking forward to 350z ownership, lots of good advice/guides on here.
  20. Cheers guys. It seems that any GT spec ones come up a lot cheaper which is strange. On the subject of this, is the GT pack worth it over standard?
  21. Thanks, I think I see the difference now. For example: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201304146266624?atmobcid=soc4 is £150 cheaper to insure than this one: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201303145773546?atmobcid=soc4 Which are both the 313 version. I can see the cheaper to insure one says GT next to it, so it has the heated seats etc?
