  1. Welcome along to my latest (and stupidest to date) mod. I've decided to Vinyl Wrap my car this weekend since I've kinda ran out of anything else to do. So after weeks of research, cleaning and whatnot, I'm nearly ready to begin.

Badges, Side Steps, Skirts and Spoiler are off, and the A Pillars, Door Handles Bumpers, Lights etc will be coming out after a final wash tonight. Then I've got 3 days to get whatever I can done.

Here's a before pic of the car

And here's my progress so far

The spoiler was an absolute nightmare, but I'm pleased with the results so far. Though keen eyed viewers will spot the grey bit on the sideskirt. I blame my brothers dodgy cutting of the vinyl.

    More updates to follow.

  2. I don't know about the oil pressure dial, but when my flexi's were blowing I just took it to an exhaust place and had them chop out the old ones and weld in some new ones. Cost me £70 a side I think. Beats buying a whole new Y-pipe.

  3. That's the one indeed. Left it parked on the drive for a bit and its gone back to normal now. Tried turning it off a few times on the way home with no luck, guess it needed longer?

You might as well delete this topic.

  4. My brother was just driving back from town, nealy stalled and since then the speedo has been over reading by 20mph. Only noticed when he said it didn't feel like we were doing 60 in a 40.

Here's us sat on the drive in neutral.

Anyone know what's caused this, and whether there's a simple solution?

  5. Well I eventually got round to sorting the bumper, thanks for the recommendations guys. I parked too close to the house to get a decent picture, but you get the idea.

And just for good measure, next to the latest addition to the family

  6. If you're going to buy a Mini 0801/0803/0805/0806 get it from JooVuu. UK based and warranty

I had to send 2 back as they were buggered but I got replacements within days, not weeks if they were going back to China like most other sellers.

Now that you mention it the cigarette lighter cable did stop working on day 3. I spoke to someone on Amazon and got a 10% refund though, since I wanted to wire it straight into the fuse box anyway, so I didn't want a replacement.

  7. My brother went down to Oxford Nissan today to pick up his new 370z. So instead of these two being on the drive

    we have these two

    And one on its own

I'm taking all the credit in influencing his car buying decision. The 370z is super nice, just feels more refined to me than my 350z. A little quiet though.

  8. Cougar Store in Leicester's the only place I have (and plan to) take my 350z, so can't recommend anywhere closer.

For tyres I usually order online, then get them fitted at Trade Tyres in Shenstone. Only round the corner from work but the service is always excellent. There's actually a garage next door, where I'm getting my MOT done today, can't say I recommend them until it's done though.
