Welcome! Good luck with the search - you won't regret it

Welcome and good luck with the search! I saw quite a few for £5k when I was hunting for mine -mostly imports but they had under 100k miles on the clock. If I went for an Impreza the insurance would've been an extra £300 on top of what I pay for the Zed- so you can always factor that into the purchase price

We weren't expecting snow...
Is this Whinlatter? Only an hour and a bit away from me, had planned on going up Sunday, but given the fair amount of snow at home figured it'd be much worse up there! At least it was rideable
-
Lovely looking car, congratulations! And hi
-
Welcome and congrats on the car!
-
Thanks everyone for the responses! David has kindly offered to sell me a part - used can which is brilliant of him
-
Seems like gold dust at the moment and knocking on for 35 quid a can it seems silly!
Just looking for enough to do lower bumper lip beneath the grille.
If anyone has enough to do that and willing to part with it for a reasonable price +postage please let me know

Aww thanks guys! Thanks Ian (14N) for pointing this thread out to me too
Had a lovely day cheers, work was awful but got treated by a meal out by the other half which came hand in hand with a great hoon out in the rain with the Zed (with some lovely empty dual carriageway roundabouts!) Great night!
What a fab bunch you lot are
-
Good effort! Need to get a few climbs like that under my belt soon. Winter has made me lazy. Looks like you had some lovely weather for it too!
-
Thanks for that! Will definitely have a look into it. And hi
I'd forgotten all about the tear, don't seem to notice it when busy driving

Hello there
-
Hello and good luck with your search
-
There's a chance if he's from your area too! Go on, spill!
-
Looks lovely! Just like mine. Be good to see how your mods come along, black roof is possibly on my list but I'm pretty happy enjoying it as standard for now. Until I save up more pennies that is anyway!
-
Its been totally dry for my first week and a bit of Zed ownership.... woke up this morning on the one day I have to drive myself to work and see a centimetre or two of snow totally covering the local B road I live down. Damn! Was an interesting transition from bone dry to snow but I survived with no incidents

Looking forward to seeing some pics! Glad you've found the right one. Sounds just like mine, same reg. and colour. great choice!

0% finance on a mountain bike!
How much was it? One of those seriously uprated ones? Last time I had a bike, was when I was 12, so I'm totally out of it. I remember trek doing some for nearly a grand. How much more expensive can they be? Unless you are a professional sportsperson?
A lot more expensive! An average to low spec full suspension MTB is usually around £2k if you ride regularly. Mine was £3900! I could have spent a lot more, believe me. Sounds crazy but when you do it several times a week and putting it through a lot of abuse, you really do notice where the money goes. A professional downhill racer could easily have a bike valued at £6000 +
Great photoshops guys, I think bronze is still my favourite but that last grey one looks great too. Still undecided!
-
When prices can be confirmed I'd definitely be interested in a pre-facelift carbon one... will have to see how they get priced. Thanks
-
They look lovely on black! but again I wonder how they'd do on gunmetal like the bronze ones.... will add them to the list of colours to photoshop later this weekend
-
Love those purple ones! But it does definitely need those other mods to pull it off.
The shadow chrome looks lovely.... thats certainly on the shortlist, thanks!
-
Hmm that could be interesting Stu, would need to see some examples first i think. And the polished lip idea. Could alternatively go crazy as suggested with purple! Think they would look a bit weird though without any other bold noticeable mods.
Will have a bit of a session on photoshop over the weekend and see what crops up on google images too.
-
Will have to get my thinking cap on. Think I agree with most, in those pics they look ok. but to get the right colour and shade to compliment the gunmetal might be a tad tricky! Thanks for the honest opinions
-
Yeah I can see this being a tricky one to get right... in some lights the gunmetal looks more bluish and others more purply/warmer tint to it.... and I guess you could have a bronze colour richer / cooler. Currently thinking probably just stick to silver and consider new alloys at a later date.
Hello from snowy Aberdeen :) - update page 3!

I personally think the orange leather looks stunning in the flesh, as long as its on a neutral coloured car- wouldn't have put me off any other coloured car (except maybe red) but I think it looks great in a gunmetal or black for example. They can look a bit iffy in photos. Agreed, the steering wheel takes it a bit far, but that could always be replaced, seen a few spares on here for sale.
Keep us updated!
