Better as in, tech, not weight, you wouldnt have been putting 300hp through the front wheels of 5gt turbo with much success
-
Also not forgetting everything gets better to allow for the bigger hp, diffs, gearboxes, suspension and tyres. Would be useless if you couldnt put the power to the road.
The drivers of the world are a small % of the marketplace, going back to the 86 as its probably the most likely recent contender to lightweight, rwd, fine chassis etc, would it have sold in the numbers they hoped if it was cheaper?

Wasnt there a base model at 12k in Japan also, mind you Gtr was £32k at launch in Japan.
You can use the revs as much as you want, but 200bhp and 150ft lb of torque is all you ever going to have and that will get you no where fast
-
Isnt that the issue with it, its a back road scratcher, shouldnt that be reserved for the track and to make it something decent for the road, it needs more oomph for overtakes etc? And then it becomes not what it was designed for.
-
Is that a surprise to you on an ice owners club forum?
Your sole contribution is ev, your in the wrong place

The problem as Toyota/Subaru have probably found out with the 86 is, however much call there was for a lightweight sports car, the motoring masses want power and comfort with all the trimmings, electric leather etc not lightweight and fine handling, i dont believe is was the sales success they hoped.

This was the op of the hot hatch when they first hit our streets, Golfs, Pugs, Gt Turbos etc, they were there to wave a finger at more exotic machinery and not sure anything has changed
Folk dont necessarily modify just to make them faster, but to make them individual, we pour loads of money into our zeds just for aesthetics, your never really going to make one any faster unless you go fi.
How often does anyone go from 0-60 anyway, its just for pub bragging rights. We all know the 350 can be embarrassed by hot hatches, as has been discussed many times and if that bothers you, your driving the wrong car

Dont see many sets of 18" regamasters

The manufacturers are being forced because of tightening emissions regs targets they have to meet across their ranges, personally if they chuck out ev stuff to allow full fat stuff to exist i am all for it
But "interesting" it is not, sure you keep posting on the wrong forum by mistake
Let me make some recommendations for you:
http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/
Or are they all as dull as the cars themselves so you thought you would keep posting here to enjoy being a cat amongst pigeons

Things are starting to get interesting
Will be interesting
Only for you it seems

I am sure they accept the vote, doesnt mean they have to agree with it.
If they are widly out of touch with supporter base or lack respect they are best gone then, win win for Labour and Jeremy.
Guess we shall see how widldy out of touch they are come next election.
Cant say he has started well with his promise of 50% split in his cabinet.
It was also the unions who supported his campaign and it didnt really work out well for the previous union choice, what was his name, Ed something.

Your suggesting that people are buying Teslas instead of Ferraris, or the salesman was, as mentioned, do you really believe people who are looking to buy a 458 (or whatever hypercar) think, do you know what, i think i will get a Tesla instead, i know your a Tesla fanboi but not even you believe that spiel
Blah blah blah blah
We are not in your world now, tax wont even come into it, it may make total sense, but, if you want a supercar you buy a supercar, not an ev.
I would bet my left nut there isnt one person on this planet who thought, i really want that "ferrari, lambo, aston, porsche or any other exotica" but f*ck it, i want to offset my tax so will buy a Tesla
If you can afford one of the above, you wont care a toss, your not buying it because it makes sense, in fact, quite the opposite.
I am chuffed to bits you enjoyed your test drive and it was all you expected
Is that why all the stars were driving Prius's when they first came out?
Plenty of people that could afford a £120k car will probably buy a Tesla just because they can...

Stars were driving Prius for the "look at me saving the planet image" and it was trendy.
Its like the Richard Branson tweet about saving the artic, to which was replied, you own an airline company you mad c*nt, hypocrisy at its very best.
I didnt say people wouldnt buy a Tesla, what i said was, they will not choose a Tesla, for tax purposes or any other reason over a "insert exotica of choice here"
-
They're biggest problem is the toys out the pram from the losers, when you've been so colossally rejected by the party members, at least have the good grace to concede and get on board instead of beefing in the corner
I am presuming the information we have or use here is what we have heard via the media, the media seem to suggest the mp's vote for him was very weak, so why would the mp's who are "throwing their toys out the pram" hang around for a party leader whos views/policies they dont agree with and more over someone who they think will damage the party?
I think the biggest surprise is that an mp has the integrity to follow their believes, not blindly back a leader they have no faith in.

I am sure i have read on here some where the M variant is too harsh and handling suffered because of it, the std one is deemed a better car.
Surely you just might as well buy a Zed for half the money if its going to be track car?
-
If I hadnt had a Chargespeed on my old Zed I would have bought it, but going for a different look on my new one.
-
Also, power limits for young drivers please.
That's already in place, it's called insurance.
If the bank of mum and dad is big enough, its not a factor.
So what would be the two things people would like to see introduced most to the test etc

Didn't 60% of his own party vote for him?
No, not mp's, you could even buy a vote for £3.
-
Your missing the point, no one is trading in their 458 for a Tesla so it makes zero difference what tax they do or dont pay, they will probably have a Tesla or alternate ev/hyrbid as well for the tax breaks if they want to put a car through the company books
you do know he is a "salesman", he wants to sell you a car
I think we will always have disagreements on certain view points in life. I don't have a big enough pre-tax income to warranty needing an accountant - well not yet anyways, ask me in a few years
. But even I can see how not paying tax on £120K is a proposition you don't want to ignore, regardless of your views on cars - especially given the end product is get to drive a P85D - which in it self costs next to nothing to run.
I also made it pretty clear I didn't have the cash for P85D, and actually the most biggest sales pitch I got was when he gave me his card at the end of the test drive, and told me to just email him when I'm ready to order, and he'll sort out test drive in what ever Model S model configuration I wanted
.
Agreed, who wouldnt want to save money, but that is only if you are putting it through as a company car

If his own party didnt vote for him, cant see it being a good thing. Seems like the unions are once again trying to rule the country with their choice of leader.

I would seriously consider some Eibach anti roll bars, transforms the handling imho.
