Hi Guys,
I am pretty certain I need a pair of ARB drop links at the rear of the zed, will be confirming that soon by disconnecting them and then testing to see if the creaking noise still occurs I had priced up a pair of upgraded ones for the front and rear but then realised that I needed adjustable ones as the car has been dropped. PowerGrid ones have been highly recommended, but I am finding them slightly pricey in comparison to other manufacturers. I am not doubting that they are the better option, but have been considering the Japseed ones due to budget (please don't shoot me). Has anybody had any experiences with them?
Thanks

I thought there was an art to wrapping, I have a few interior pieces I would like to get done. Have you had much experience in doing it before? How did you find it? I may give it a bash myself.

Thanks. That is the major downfall to slightly stretched low profile tyres, the lip and face of the rim are constantly flirting with kerbs....

It is gunmetal...promise!

Talking of intelligence, if you look at the chaps youtube user name and click, you will be linked to all of his other videos, which mainly consist of dangerous driving and revving the nuts off of his DC5....what makes my laugh is that his number plate is visible in most of them....what a complete tool!

We used to have a remapped 330d, wasn't running 280 brake but was quick, the only problem was the low rpm range....pulled hard but ended up changing gear as soon as the power came on. Nice cars, had a 330ci Msport too - sold that for the Zed and have never looked back.

Sorry one more question, is it a replica or legitimate product?
-
It does thanks, so it will be a bumper off job or at least partial undertray removal?
-
I was just curious as to how and where it attaches, I understand that most hooks screw into the central eye, but your hook appears to bolt up against something else?
-
Have you got an image with the tow eye fitted?

Ah I see.
It sounds like the original screws that attach the undertray to the u/s of the bumper have been snapped (they are very delicate, as are the fixings into the bumper - one must not over tighten). I presume that they have replaced them, or connected everything some other way and have not matched the correct size screws, and it is all visible as this black strip is no longer present (all would have been concealed behind it). I am not sure why that strip was removed, mine has taken a right bashing and I am glad it is there, well what is left of it
Upload a photograph for clarity and we can all comment from there. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the u/s of the car, but this may help?

I am by no means well educated at removing the entire bumper, however I did loosen it and partially remove the under tray at the weekend to fit a CAI kit.
The under tray is screwed to the underside of the bumper, and arch liners this could be what you are referring too? I am pretty sure that the black strip at the base of the bumper is in place to protect the underside of it and act as a bookend to the tray? There should be a number of other connections, major ones at that, connect the bumper back to solid structure and the body ie there are six plastic rivets under the bonnet, which connect the bumper back to the core supports.
What makes you think that it has been "f**ked up", is it hanging off? There must be a post on the forum that illustrates how to remove the entire front bumper, maybe cross reference with that, which in-turn should enable you to locate all of the fixings?

That is a lovely bit of kit!

Oooooo. Tempting, both of mine are knackered! How much are they new? Have been meaning to strip the door card and attempt a fix, have been tolerating it as it is winter, but spring is on its way.

I experienced something similar to this a week or so ago. Went to start the car early one morning and noticed that it struggled ever so slightly to turn over, when it did, the air con was on, rev counter wasn't working and the TCS and slip light were both illuminated. I immediately turned it off, re-activated and then de-activated the alarm/immobiliser and it was fine. Very strange??

Wow! Mirror like finish, extremely tidy, looks lovely.

I'd probably drop in the lump from the new Nissan Pixo, a whole 996cc that manages whopping 64.3 MPG - could keep the Nissan burgers on the car too
