  1. An extract from the Chairmans Statement.

A member of staff – who is a completely innocent party – took himself to

Accident and Emergency after a physical altercation accompanied

by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature."

  2. Don't worry Sam I'll get the vid up of me out at Castle Combe today - No spins, but you can watch me getting passed by everything on the track including a 100cc classic Mini

I'm not sure if it was the hail slowing me down or the fact I can't actually see where I'm going :scare::lol:

If you got passed by a 100cc mini, sell the Radical now..!! :scare:

  3. ARDS, did it at Bedford in the sheddiest VX220 I've ever had the misfortune of driving! The gearbox really was shot, it was like stirring a bucket of bricks.

It wasn't difficult at all, just driving at 8/10ths round the track a few times. The worst part was knowing a spin was an instant fail, as was getting any flag question wrong in the exam. Never have I studied standard motorsport flags so hard in my entire life...

Do it fella, I reckon that would be a very rewarding prize to have waiting at the end :)

So your got your novice Race License, that's the first step, well done.

  4. Also take your feet off the pedals.

    Never do this!

When in a spin, both feet in; i.e. hard on both clutch and brake. You want to be removing speed ASAP as you've lost control of the vehicle, but you also want to keep the engine running.

I didn't see a lot wrong, just one of those things that happens when you're pushing on, especially on that corner. Tbh if you don't spin at least once on track then you're not pushing hard enough ;) You got very lucky though, entering grass near on sideways is the single easiest way to flip a car on trackday.

If you keep your foot jammed on the brake you will go straight to the scene of the accident

as you have no steering. :scare:

  5. You over corrected it Sam. :surrender:

When this happens and you have a big run off area, just take your hands off the

wheel and feet of the pedals and the car will sort itself out. Sounds alien to do it

    Just try it.

Nooooo, should of just man moded it and kept the power going when the back end stepped out.

As stated though, it's easy to say, harder to do!

Next time on a track day or even on the road , if you get out of shape

instead of wrestling with the steering wheel as if it was an alligator, without

knowing what you are doing, let it go, its designed to go back to the centre position

Also take your feet off the pedals.

Why are you still on the power when your out of control, and braking unless

its in a straight line will just make the situation just worse, and it doesn't matter

what gear our in, its not going to help you just now.
