  1. Im sure this latest F&F film will be as fake and silly as ever. However I absolutely love the entire collection so will definitely be going to see number 6.

Any info on a release date for the UK?

Will be interesting to see what exotic cars they have spent their money on

  2. So after a very long week, and waking up at 6.30 this morning and not been able to get back to sleep I have finally made picked the car up. It really is everything I had imagined and a whole load more. Just thought I would post up some first thoughts after a day of ownership.

First impressions. I think the best way I can describe how the car looks is to describe it as handsome. The Kuro black paintwork when polished is the best colour for any car. Contrasting with the silver Rays wheels covered by the front and rear wide arches. The alezan leather interior again contrasts the black paintwork and matches the gold brembo brakes. You put the keys in the ignition and 3 clicks round you feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end as there is a dirty filthy V6 bellow front the exhaust pipes.

The power is effortless. There is no need to 'rag the tits' out of the engine to get it to shift. It pulls in any gear at any speed. When you do fancy a bit of spirited driving and drop it a gear or 2 down there is just a surge of power and an earful of V6 noise.

It really is a great all round car. It is also a car that is appreciated by everyone old and young and certainly turns a few heads.Pound per pound performance wise it truly is great value for money. The shape and styling hasnt really changed much since 2003 but yet it doesnt look a year out of date and has all the optional extras you could wish for in a car.

As you can tell im pretty please with my purchase. I wish to thank you all for advice and guidance provided both in my threads and around the forum.

Im planning on creating a build thread, although I think it will be a little while before any upgrades are made. Main priorities are to keep it clean and get it driven. I also plan on making a thread with the day to day running costs that I experience.

    Thanks again

  3. Evening, just got a quick question.

Ive been reading alot of speculation about issues with running the car on regular fuel, as the car is used I have no idea what it has been previously run on in its previous life. For peace of mind I would like to run it on super unleaded. Now this may sound like a stupid question but I thought I had best check. Can I just put 98 unleaded into the tank regardless of whether its been run on the standard stuff or not?

  4. Hello Everyone

Thought I would take the time to introduce myself again for the second time.

Signed up to the site looking for advice and guidance on buying a 350z. The site certainly hasnt let me down with all the useful information and buying guides.

And finally today after much thought I have placed a deposit on a Black GT coupe due to be picked up on Saturday. To say I am over the moon is an under statement.

Im not planning on doing much modding, the main goal is to keep it as clean and tidy as possible. I may look at some induction and exhaust upgrades at a later date.

Will get some scenic pictures on the way back on Saturday, watch this space.

  5. Evening all,

As title, going to look at a 55 plate on Saturday. Mileage / age / price all seem pretty spot on but is there anything I should be paying particular attention to / asking the dealer?

I have printed off all the buying guides from the forum so have a general idea of what I should be looking at.

Mileage has just passed the 30k mark so what services would you have expected to be done or shortly coming up to be done. Also, EVOs 350z buying guide say that clutches can go around the 40,000 mile mark? Is there anything that gives away that the clutch may be on its way out?

Finally, I have noticed on the site alot of people mention about the engine problems / high oil consumption on some particular vehicles. Would this affect this car.

Any further information would be fantastic.

    Thanks in advance

  7. Completely off topic but have you got a route planned for you trip in August? I am also planning on driving to the Monaco GP this year, but struggling to find a route guide. Going to take a few days to get there and back, so would like not to use Motorways and toll roads if possible.

  8. Try Elephant direct. I know they are the same company to bell and admiral i believe but i tend to find them to be cheaper than the other 2.

Im 21, 3 years NCB and ive been getting quotes around the 800, but that is for the pre facelift so less than 300bhp, which to me still seems reasonable.

  9. Hi All,

Im currently in the process of selling my current car in the hope of purchasing a 350z within the very near future.

I need a car everyday to get to work and back, so not having a car between the transition of selling mine and purchasing a zed isnt an option.

The old man has a car I can use however he currently holds his own insurance policy on that car and because of my age his insurance will not add me to his policy.

My policy also doesnt cover me to drive other cars TPFT due to my age.

I would only be looking for insurance for at the most around a month.

What are my options? Or is it a case of going to temp cover and taking out insurance on a weekly basis?

  10. I havent read through the entire thread but thought I would share some thoughts, that may or may not have already been mentioned.

The Nissan 350z for what it is, give or take 300bhp, rear wheel drive etc should in my opinion carry a much greater insurance that I have found it to.

Ive always wanted to get into the fastest car possible since passing my test, but insurance wouldnt allow it. I paid £1600 TPFT on a 75bhp 1.2L Clio in my first year of driving. I then bought a MK6 Fiesta Zetec S and then finally and currently into Fiesta ST500.

At 20, insurance on the ST was 800 fully comp, at 21 my insurance, when I finally get round to purchasing a 350z is just over 700. I was also interested in s2000s. Considerably down on power over a 350z and a much lesser engine capacity however they hold a huge insurance premium far greater than that of a 350z.

I couldnt believe that how cheap the zed was on insurance and that was a deciding factor on what would be my next car.

  11. Agree with it been a tad on the expensive side, however Im a cash buyer so will hopefully be able to negotiate a better price. Garages are always going to charge more than a private sale but I would rather pay that bit extra for that extra security.

  12. So I am currently looking for a Nissan 350z and was wondering if you guys would be able to help me out a little.

I have been in talks with a sales man at the below garage about this 350z, and wondered if anyone would be able to give me some opinions.

Mileage is extremely low and only 1 previous owner which is very appealing. Havent been to look at the car yet as it is a full 6 hour round trip.

    Opinions please.

    Many thanks

  13. Thanks for warm welcome. Would someone be able to point me in the direction of a 'Buying Guide' for the 350Z? If there is such a thing. Ive had a quick look but cant seem to find anything.

Planning on going around a few garages over the weekend and maybe some private sales, Ive heard of a few things that I need to be aware of but would be nice to hear from people on the site who have first hand experience of them.

  14. Hi Guys, George from the York area.

Hopefully looking at getting a 350z within the next couple of months. Registered with the site to seek advice and tips on what to look out for when purchasing, and how they are generally to live with.

Planning a European road trip in the summer including a trip down to the Monaco Grand Prix so after a car capable of eating up the miles. 350z is top of the list followed by Honda S2000 or BMW Z4.

Currently in a Fiesta ST so will be a nice step up if successful.

If all goes to plan, I will hopefully see / hear from you guys alot more.

    Have a Happy Christmas!

    George
