Im starting to think the same..i thought they were a bit cheap for brembo pads..lesson learnt..gona order a set of pads from tarmac sportz. Original brembo pads from nissan are £121 for the fronts, but the pads tarmac sportz sell look good and slightly cheaper..can anyone recommend me some pads please?

Right noticed something on the drive back from work..when i drove enthusiastically and braked harder..after a while the squealing went. Now i know for aftermarket performance brakes theres squealing unless warmed up but didnt realise the standard brembos do this too? Can someone shine some light on this? It definetly didn't squeal until warmed up when i bought the car last year.

Guys....the squealing's come back..*sigh* I'm well and truly lost now. And it's always from the right front wheel, left front seems to be fine. I'm seriously considering taking the z to nissan to diagnose the problem. This is starting to really annoy me, almost takes the enjoyment out of driving the car. What else could it possibly be?

Right so i sorted the shims today, turns out the brake pads i bought had the old shims transferred to them which wasnt a good match from the old pads. Fitted the ones i bought from clark motorsport and....NO MORE SQUEALING!! its totally gone..not even the slightest noise or anything! Its almost weird braking without any form of noise. So there we go..sorted.

This worn banana arm/bush noise wouldnt happen to be a sort of shuffling sound coming from under the car near the front at low speeds over bumps would it?

Thinking i might do it myself, what part of the shims need greasing? Pad facing or piston facing? And u just slot them onto the back of pad right? No need to stick them on somehow?

Hmm yeh..i bought the pads from eurocarparts. Didnt realise the original brembos had anti squeal shims bonded to the back. Might explain alot. Ok cool ill order a set from nissan directly then and see what the results are. Thanks alot for the help guys..i appreciate it.

Hey guys ive got an annoying problem, my brakes were squeaking and the right front was really bad..especially turning left at low speeds while braking, the squeal would become really loud to then point of deafening. So i had the pads changed with original brembo pads and the squeal has gone from the left side but right side its still squealing just as loud as before. And its always deafening when at low speeds turning left. I took it back to the garage and they couldnt figure it out, they regreased everything but that damn squeal is still there! Its get very loud only when turning left at low speeds while braking, any ideas what the hell is going on?? They checked the discs and said the discs are fine.

is it as simple as just buying the v2 bumper or are there any additional parts I need to make it fit? I can't remember where I read that but i'm sure someone had said they were having problems fitting it on there facelift z and it need additional parts to make it fit? or did I misread something?

v2 it is then, I don't need a lot of convincing when its comes from guys on here. I would love to come down on sunday but unfortunately i'm working, the cons of working for virgin trains, I have to sometimes work sundays, but thanks for the invite, I will definitely make the one at ace café when its been organised and hopefully the car will be ready by then too.

hey guys, i'm about to order a new front look for the the zed but i'm torn between the v2 bumper or just the n1 lip. Main reason being i'm planning on lowering the car by 25mm on the front and 30mm on the rears. Does the v2 bumper sit any lower than stock? I live in north london and i'm surrounded by speed humps where I live so was just wondering, I don't wana screw up a new v2 bumper in my first week of having it fitted, or maybe it would be better to just get the n1 lip instead?

ill see how it goes for 6 months with it in, if the zed doesn't like it i'll switch to fuschs titan race pro s.

i ended buying 2 bottles of castrol magnatec 5w 30, 4l for £19.99, was getting close to closing time and i looked a bit shifty sitting in the car with a lap top looking around lol. They didn't have 5w 30 edge in stock so opted for magnatec instead. I use to use it my my type r and celica gt4 with no problems so i just stuck with what i know. cheers for the help.

oh yeh I have the uprev 2006 facelift model 296bhp. should have mentioned that too.

Hey guys, quick question, i'm at costco at the moment and they have castrol edge oil 4l for sale at £25, only thing its 5w40, ive notice alot of people say 5w30 is what we put in the zeds but i don't have my owners manual with me, would it be ok running on or better even 5w40 edge oil? in the car park waiting for a reply because can't connect to wifi instore. cheers

ok cool, thank you for your help, I didn't think to look on ebay because i'm always under the impression it will be low quality parts or the fitment will be off, but if you had the faith to look on ebay then it can't be bad. Cheers again and Happy new year to you all.

has anyone got any suggestions on what i can get? seeing as the n1 lip won't fit my car, was thinking maybe a nismo v2 bumper, but im reading that there are other things to you need to buy to make it fit or am i just being thick?

right so i have the zed in the bottom picture with the two slits and the little groove in the lip. Where can i find an n1 lip for my particular model?

hey guys, just a quick question, i was just wondering if the nismo style front lip that tarmac sportz sells will fit my 06 z. It says on the site its for 03 - 05 cars but the front bumper on the illustrations doesn't look any different from mine. Can someone enlighten me because i'm looking to put in an order pretty soon.
