It's a short term fix, because they will never be able to brand something nismo again. And have people take it seriously. This will be a popular car, but it's cost them a brand.

Nissan annoy me. All these years striving to make the nismo brand what it is today. And then they dilute it with this. Nismo now means nothing.

Some issues with the fact the are for LHD. Seat switches, seat airbag location etc email them and ask for a RHD version. Maybe get a group buy

Well, my airbag light is on. This has gone from an annoyance to a full blown show stopper since the new MOT regulations state this is now a fail.

Unfortunately, a simple reset will not work as its not a flashing - it's a constant light.

I've done some research and it seems under the central console there is a SRS unit that logs certain incidents and malfunctions which throws the light. Plugging a normal OBD reader into the car shows no faults. I've checked all connections under both seats and the only issue seems to be a white plug disconnected near the front of the passenger seat. Is this normal? On the driver seat it's connected but I thought it was the tilt function that the passenger seat doesn't have.

I can send the SRS away and have it reset (either by nissan or a 3rd party.)

But I must fix the problem first, and I won't know if I have fixed it until its reset.....it's a @*!# situation

If the srs unit itself is bad....that's £1500 gone.

It's pretty straight forward, clips in wheel arches) 2 front and back and then 8 bolts underneath and pry off

I wouldnt take them to the MOT place and ask the question like you said you were going to! - you could be shooting yourself in the foot so to speak. 99.9% of MOT stations wont check if they are 'e' marked or not. Honestly, just fit them and away you go.

I've been quoted 2600+VAT for a colour change respray. Haven't picked a colour yet, but not looking at a candy paint, just a standard base coat/clear jobbie.

This seems a little steep, however this may be the going price, I'm not sure - what do you guys think?

I think it looks a bit of a bargain especially with the turboXs ecu and cosworth fuel rails and like you said you can sell a pair of injectors/plenum spacer etc. like above though depending on how many miles its done. Im not sure the limit on them. Also i didnt know you can get a different impeller. Wonder what it does? I know upgraded turbo impellers can have different spool characteristics but i take it this one just produces a little more boost but im not sure

Doesnt the different impellar reduce idle rattle? or something - think i read it somewhere....or maybe i dreamt it :S

Ok, I'm a bit clueless, like Seabee. How does the zed know if you hit a lampost and it needs to deploy the airbags? There's must be something that tells the airbags to deploy?

If its not a crash sensor....is it magic?

Pretty sure nismo wind tunnel tested their stuff for their v2 race concept. (You'd hope so) also ings, voltex etc

Most spoilers bar one or two are for aesthetics only.

Nismo is the way forward if your lookin or a cheap options, the it's ings low mount and high mount, and finally voltex that most benefits will be seen - but as you said they are £1k +

Arran, I'm seriously considering removing the rear wiper now.

I'm just talking to us company about rear wiper grommets...they make them for gen7 Celicas, metal, perfect flat fit and they spray them as well to same colour as your car! They already posted one to me to try!
