  1. How pissing hard is it to cook and eat 6 meals a day though.

Ive come to the conclusion that unless you can dedicate 70% of every waking moment to keeping fit/getting bigger your on a losing battle!

Doesnt stop me trying like

Cook it the night before while making your dinner then separate it into containers. I do agree with you though, it takes a massive effort and your entire day becomes focused around eating and training =/

  2. WMR1980 that's probably one of the best write ups iv ever read!

The only things I could think to add would be try to get most of your protein from food, protein shakes are brilliant but try to only use them when its not convenient to eat. Doing meal prep the night before, things like a Tupperware tub of brown rice and chicken or tuna and brown pasta is really helpful.

    70% Diet, 30% Gym. (100% Commitment)

Start looking at your food as just piles of Fats, Carbs, Proteins etc it makes it much easier to work out what you have eaten and what your going to need to eat

Your body can only absorb about 40-50g of protein per hour so there is no point 4 chicken breasts at once, like WMR said 5/6 smaller meals spaced out

Buy protein bars/flapjacks in bulk online, 24/48 pack work out around 80p instead of £2 or £3 individually and are a good source of protein/Low Gi carbs

Again agreeing with WMR I cant stress the importance of breakfast, not only to kickstart your metabolism but say your last meal is at 6pm then you skip breakfast and dont eat till Noon. Thats 18hrs without any food which is far too long.

Lastly Google, trawl through forums and read as much as you can. Professionals training programs, nutrition guides its all helpful in the long game.

    Hope this helps :)

  3. Thanks for the responses guys.

@ glrnet: I will get in contact with Sly at Kaizer

@ Jake: Out of interest, could you let me know whether your uncle would be available to carry out the work, how much the labour would be (give or take), I live in Luxembourg so would need to drive over (car is LHD). As for parts I will have to ask Zmanalex. Thanks for the tip! :)

I couldn't give you a price without speaking to him first but I think he charges somewhere in the region of £70 an hour and yes he would be more than happy to do it. He is actually an audi/vw specialist but he's had his own garage 30+ years and swapped mine out no problem.

As I said the garage is in Dover which is only about 1mile away from the ferry terminal or about 10miles from the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone.

  4. I played Modern Warfare 2 way, way too much. I was that guy who sniped across the map with a noob tube into a window. Sad, I know. But after putting so many hours into that game you realise how completely the same all the following games are.

CoD, in essence has barely changed from those days, the maps change, the weapons are re-skinned and some gimmicks are thrown in, but it just feels like the same; run, shoot, run, shoot, die, re-spawn, run, shoot, run, shoot, etc. You end up in this loop for hours on end, more and more frustrating. No matter how well you do, you get frustrated when you get killed, it could have been you on a 20 kill streak, my god, 20 kills in a row, that's awesome! But nope, instead of celebrating 20 kills in a row, you rage at your kill-streak being cut off. Broken controllers ensue and it's just not a healthy environment

I switched to battlefield 3 and found it to be a revelation, a completely different game that felt fresh and open. It wasn't just constant grinding like CoD, it was tactics, explosions, vehicles, huge maps, squads, and lots of fun. Now we are onto battlefield 4 and... I have to say it puts me in a bit of a dilemma... I have pretty strong feelings about the exceedingly large quantity of douchebaggery EA hands out on the gaming community and hate the idea of funding their "rape their wallets dry" approach to business.

Like most people though, I will end up being another pleb bitching about EA policies with one hand while the other hits the download button on the disgusting atrocity that is Origin, just so I can play BF4.

I couldn't agree with this more. I remember the first time I used a throwing knife on MW2 and thinking how cutting edge everything was, since then not a lot has changed. Now you play it for a few hours to relax and and up screaming at your TV because a 12 year old who's meant to be at school wont stop using a shotgun

  5. Playing COD Ghosts and BF4

Been playing COD since number 4 and iv got to say I'm starting to get bored of it. Don't get me wrong its a brilliant game and iv already racked up over a day gametime but my girlfriend bought me BF4 last week (never played it BF3 as I was an avid cod player) and thats what i will be playing when I get in. It has better maps, more customisable guns, less camping and more realistic.

I would say comparing Cod to Battlefield is like comparing Need for Speed to Forza. One a little childish and fun and the other more grown up and realistic.

  6. Oh it all makes sense now, I drive a gunmetal 2004 GT, it's away for the winter now but will be back out come march/April time :)

Well I expect to see frantic waving from whatever it is your driving over the winter

And to the OP if you have a spare set of wheels laying around then I would say go for winter tyres, I'v only had mine on a few days so can't say yet whether I rate them or not. I don't know how old you are but for me £400-500 on winter tyres is cheaper than even the insurance on a second car. Also once the tyres are purchased they will last 3/4/5 years? with no additional cost apart from running the zed.

That's just my 2 cents and I'm sure others will disagree, but I hope it helps with your decision :)

  7. I see your car in Sturry all the time, near a certain alternative mode of transport ;)

I work up in the signal box, what do you drive i will keep my eyes peeled :teeth:

  8. Yeah depends on the location, like I said my commute is A2 & M25 and I work in logistics so if those 2 roads need winter tyres then the whole of the SE is going to be at a standstill

    Sent from the golf club...

Do you mean the a2 between Canterbury and Dover? Need to start keeping an eye out for you, that's my neck of the woods :)

I go Deal to Canterbury (Sturry) every day, see a few zed's but nobody waves back =[
