  1. The guy who came out to change my wheel said it has been happening more and more recently, blowouts and punctures on that stretch of road....

Fortunately there was no damage to me, the car and even the alloy, just a wrecked tyre and a car that now stinks of burnt rubber! First time that has ever happened to me, so I'm sat in my hotel in aberdeen with a large glass of wine to sort my nerves out!

Will get a pic of tyre in the morning, but I figured it would be a like for like swap, and will only do one side.... For the mileage that the other tyre has done, I really begrudge changing it.

    Cheers for advice :)

  2. Scary moment today, only had my zed for 10 days and had a blowout on the A90 north of dundee (on way to Aberdeen from Lincoln). My first big drive and the front drivers side tyre went at 65mph, scared the crap out of me!!

Any who, police had to come shut the lane as there was no hard shoulder, and being all girls I got the RAC to come change my wheel.

The tyres I had all round were Falken's, not sure specifics of what they are, but do I need to replace this tyre with like for like, and do I also need to do other side at same time? The tyres were pretty new, like had only been changed a few months prior to me getting car, so if I don't have to do both, I'd rather not..... Just need an honest opinion from someone who isn't a tyre fitter who wants money!!

  3. Those panels seem to be very poorly made. My roadster had only done 20k miles when I got it but the grab handle on the drivers door was so badly scratched up it looked like a lion had been attacking it!

Think that lion has been in my car too :D Anywho, found some vinyl wrapping that will sort it out.... however it looks like i'll be doing quite a bit to the interior so it all matches now!

    And it starts...... haha!

  4. Thankyou for being so welcoming :D

It is the driver side door thats a bit worn, looks like previous owner used to rest their arm there when driving!

I really cannot wait until Friday, and i then have a whole weekend of driving planned to go and show it off, fun times

Will be keeping my eye out on here for any help i need.... and as for modifications, well i've already been looking for new alloys haha!

i fear this will be expensive, but good fun too :-)

  5. Hey everyone,

I pick up my new 350z on Friday, and i am sooooooo happy!! I have traded in a Rav4 for it, so gonna have to learn how to drive properly now..... never had a rear wheel drive car before, but i LOVE 350z's and i hope i can treat it how it deserves to be treated, driven like it should be!

Its a 56 plate black one, with 50k on the clock.... seems in really good nick, the dealership are putting new brake pads on it for me and a new back box before i pick it up. The only slight issue i have is the scratches on the inside panel of the door, i hope that won't be too difficult to replace/tidy up.

Anyway, i am on the countdown to pick up day, and will let you know how it all goes! There will be photo's too :-) so proud haha! :-)
