  1. I live just outside of Canterbury and I'm now using the Z for the daily commute down Stone Street to get to Dungeness, seemed to get to work alot quicker this morning than I used to in the 5... didn't think I was giving it all that much though, whoops!
  2. Hello! My name's Nathan, I live and work in Kent. Previous cars include... Highlights: 1991 Honda Civic (twin carbs, lovely noises from the velocity stacks!) - Sold 1989 Honda CRX 1.6 16V (stripped down and completely rebuilt with rollcage and some tasty bits ready for track work) - Still got 1993 Mazda MX-5 1.6 (115BHP model, RWD with no driver aids, loads of fun in the wet) - Sold 2004MY Nissan 350Z (picked up yesterday! Features Scorpion Exhaust and Eibach spacers) Lowlights: 2009 Ford Fiesta Zetec (god awful car, probably the worst decision I've ever made with regards to cars or money) - Sold 1999 VW Golf SDI (17 second 0 - 60, I kid you not. It was funny for about 2 days...) - Sold, then engine mount failed, now dead. Have been on here now and again over the past couple of years toying with the idea of getting a 350Z, but always ended up going for cheaper, rattier cars. A couple of months ago I got a promotion at work, and have just had a birthday so decided the time was right to buy myself something a little more *sensible*... Anyway, have had a good scout the the FAQs and tech forums and to be honest doubt I'll be doing all that much fettling as the car is pretty much spot on as is, apart from the terrible OEM headunit, that'll be replaced soon! I say that, but sooner or later I'm sure I'll spot some part or other that I like the look of and then the slippery slope will begin, all over again! Thanks for having me, I know forum members are all photo fiends so I'll do my best to post some pictures at some point. Cheers, Nathan
  3. Going on Piston Heads this week. But October isn't that far away! Well thinking about it I'm actually back from my holiday 24th of september so technically could have it then... I will have to keep you updated and keep my fingers crossed...
  4. I'm sorely tempted by this, looks very nice, but won't be able to buy before sometime in October! Almost hoping it doesn't sell by then, but that's not nice, good luck with the sale anyway!
  5. Thanks for all the welcome messages, surprised I haven't had more of a ribbing over the Hondas if I'm honest! Hopefully sorting my finances, selling off the civic and I'll be on the market for a 350 in the next few weeks, should be driving one by October!
  6. Good morning! Just thought i'd introduce myself as a potential future owner, I currently drive a (tatty) 1991 Honda civic (trumpeted dual carbs sound amazing!) and am part way through building a 1989 CRX as well, obviously these are both FWD and have (slightly) lower power than the Z cars, but hopefully you won't hold that against me! I had the idea of purchasing a 350 after getting my new job, initially I was looking at the GT86, but can't afford to buy one outright and the finance deals are alright but require massive deposits (the cost of a decent 2004 350!) and then have an even bigger final payment, so I forgot that and started looking at other affordable options, I've always liked Nissans, but never really thought to own one, I was fumbling through classifieds (as you do...) and found myself looking at 350s, looked at insurance costs and was pleasently surprised, I've since got myself a little excited and have been working out running costs, servicing, how much work i could do myself, blah blah blah... So yeah, I just thought I'd sign up so I can access all of the previously hidden parts of the forum and do some more research. I probably won't be getting a Z for a while as I'm going to be welding and painting the civic before getting rid of it (never like to leave a job unfinished!) but will be lurking and absorbing information! Thanks for having me, and I look forward to utilizing this site! Nathan
