  1. When I had the same problem, and I think many others too, it was the bonnet sensor as it retracts ever so slightly off the bonnet when the engine bay cools - so it's always an hour or two after a run. There is a small amount of adjustability in the bonnet sensor mounting or you can just unplug it as a troubleshooting measure.

  2. My parking sensors do the usual mental bleeping thing. However at some point they have been painted over - I don't think they come like this from the dealer? The car is shortly having some work done at the bodyshop so I wondered if I should have them remove the paint?

  3. Thanks for the reply chap, as you suspected I really wanted a pair with OK ball joints, but I'll keep you in mind. Out of interest did you fit OEM or aftermarket replacements? It's a route I'm considering.

  4. If anyone has a pair of old compression arms that you want a few quid for, can you let me know? Doesn't matter if the chassis bush is knackered as they will be replaced with poly's. Ball joints need to be serviceable though please as I don't think these are replaceable.

  5. Separate sound, actually not all that loud on my 350. However I do want to sort the problem otherwise neither I nor my neighbours will bother looking out the window when it goes off. It's just an unlock on the fob to disable, again on my 350 vs. 370.

Have unplugged the bonnet switch so we'll see if it makes any difference. The bonnet is actually a little looser than I would prefer so this might play into the same theory, as does the changing the battery (having simply opened the bonnet).

    Cheers,

  6. Hi all, my alarm seems to be a bit over-sensitive - going off seemingly at random sometimes - at least a couple of times per day. Is there something that can be adjusted or can I try arming the alarm without the internal sensors to narrow it down (in case of a faulty sensor or spider crawling across it)?

    Nothing on the search.

    Cheers,

    Jon

  7. Strange new suspension noise evident today, pulling into the nice smooth tarmac work car park at low speed. It's from the NSF and changes frequence with road speed and is just a dull clunk clunk clunk. Not over bumps (drop links are new anyway). I'll jack it up once home but wonder if it's most likely the rearward compression arm bush? But the consistent nature of it has thrown me a bit. Don't think its the brakes or similar (also new).

I know this has been done to death so apologies for that.
