  1. Hi

I've bought a new private plate for the wife's car and want to put the current one on retention to sell.

Do I just put the current one on retention first, get a new number assigned and then put the new private plate on?

Is there a way to skip having the new assigned number and go straight from current to new?

    TIA

  2. These got removed from my 2018 GT Auto and replace with HFCs by Nissan before I collected the car.

    Delivery miles only.

Have been in the loft since I collected the car.

Now the car is 3 years old, I know I will be keeping her rather than returning to stock to sell - so these are just taking up space.

Would prefer collection from CH66 2PE are or will ship if buyer covers courier costs.

    £750

There’s a brand called BC Racing that make coilovers for many cars that are decent quality, so when saying BC most people would relate to them before Black Circles as this is the first time I’ve heard Black Circles referred to as BC.

    Ah. Got it!

    What tyre sizes are they?

    My Nismos need 245/40 (F) 285/35 (R) 19" - I'm assuming those are narrower

Edit: can see 285/35 on rear but cant make out on front

    255/35 19 front and 285/35 19 rear.

not stock but frequently mentioned on here as a good switch to get the PS4S

  5. Good to know. I added the tyres to my basket but didnt checkout.

Got an email the next day asking what it would take to help me purchase.

  6. Down to 2.5mm for both rear tyres for last week's first MOT.

Perfect excuse neede to get a full set of Michelin PS4S..

Good deal with Blackcircles and On the Drive fitting

Now just need for lockdown to finish for a reason to go somewhere!

Thanks for getting back to me. The amp is probably still there, I tried to have a look today for the amp but struggled to remove the polystyrene bit below the crash bar, seemed to be under the weird plastic bits so do I have to remove the plastic bits to remove it? Will this aid the process?

Did you manage to use the wires that plugged into your bose amp for your aftermarket amp? Also there are RCA ports in the center console area, fan I use these to plug into the amp or do I have to feed wires into the HU?

Here is the sub I have (pic below) still need to get a amp and make an enclosure for it.

The kit I bought from R35 Audio came with a plug and play lead that went into the back of the oem HU.

This had the audio out which had RCA out and remote power for the aftermarket sub.

Not sure where to buy just the cable, may be worth reaching out to Andy@R35Audio.com

  8. I think that plugs into the small Bose amp and then to the sub.

Checking again it does look like the plug to the Sub.

Do you have the small Bose amp installed? It sits in the boot behind the cabin/boot separator

I replaced mine with an aftermarket option, my post below.

Have the sub and amp in the loft (from my 2018 GT)

If you are interested - would be costly to courier though I expect

  9. I started to work from home from mid March.

Washed, polished and put the Z to sleep under a cover.

I fitted one of these so I could keep an eye on the battery.

From memory it was towards the end of May that the battery was hitting 12.4 so put it on a trickle charge.

Bought another of the monitors and fitted to the leisure battery of our motorhome.

  10. I went with the Pure Highway 400.
connected via the aux input in the center console.

No complaints over signal or audio quality - would have preferred an integrated solution though.

I did try the Dension Dab U.

Though it worked OK, it was so slow to change channels and signal wasn't the best.

THANK YOU , sent them an email today.

Any that physically fit under would work.

You'll then need to tap into the sub output of the headunit. The kit I got from R35audio came with the adapter cable; just plugged into the back and the original cable then plugged into that. Has the 2x RCA cables for the sub.

And, of course, the power feed from the battery.

Hardest part will be the adapter cable. Maybe you could tap into the Bose amp rather than back of headunit.. not sure about that.

I had a Pioneer under seat sub in my old MR2. Worked surprisingly well.
