  1. Arsenal certainly aren't exciting  im hoping for some good gains with all the extra mods since last time it was uprev'd, I got the bodyshop at work to spray the handles much easier and free :)

Cheers Steve, glad it was a good read makes all the writing and pictures worth it  I never intended for it to have such a long spec list but I think I was just kidding myself! Trust me you'll love yours when you buy one they are awesome cars. Good luck!

Matt again thank you mate really helpful having a spare set :) hopefully catch up at japfest! Get both cars in a azure photo

  2. So whilst Arsenal are hopefully getting outplayed once again  , I thought id update the journal with some more new arrivals for the blue beast. Gradually ever since all the silver parts on the Z have dissapeared the one thing thats stood out and annoyed me was the door handles, decided i wanted them gloss black to match everything else. I have to say a big thank you to Matt (Mattross) as he lent me his spare set so i could get mine sprayed and still use the car daily, thats why this forum is great when people are prepared to help one another and not just give advice/opinions :)

Fitted the handles last night and cleaned the car today as it needed it badly since that smog layed a thick layer of sand on it.

    Cleaning process as follows:

Rinse car first then apply snow foam (with a cap of DJ BTBM),

Wash wheels/calipers and tyres with Envy wheel cleaner and 1" brush,

Rinse car then wash with 2BM and Envy shampoo,

Use Envy APC with 1" brush in petrol cap enclosure, door handles, wing badges and repeaters, window seals and all nooks and crannies,

Rinse car then apply Megs last touch detailer as drying aid,

Dry car using CG wooly mammoth,

Dry wheels then apply Poorboys wheel sealant,

Buff Poorboys off and apply Autosmart highstyle dress to tyres,

Apply Zaino Z8 sealant to car and buff off,

Polish headlights with Megs metal polish,

Megs metal polish on backbox and tips

Stand back and admire a nice shiny clean car B)

Also managed to finally get hold of an oil catch can that ive been after for a while, i wanted a proper baffled one so it actually served a purpose as opposed to engine bay bling, Vlad was selling his so i snapped it up, found suitable blue vacuum hose to go with it. Will be fitted next weekend

Then off to the Zed shed for the oil cooler fitting and stereo mod, then go to Abbey to get the Uprev tweaked. All before Japfest and another Nurburgring trip in June :D

Thanks for continuing to read folks, stay tuned ;)

    Cheers

  3. Jacks steering wheels are great for me it changes how the car feels to drive as a whole, so much nicer to hold instead of thin fake black leather. Picture of my one is in my journal, a good price plus your wheel swapped and you won't regret it. Smartens up the interior nicely

  4. You'll need to bed them in on full soft for the first 100 miles but after that adjust as you please. During nice weather on good condition roads front set to 8 and rear to 6 is a great setting for fast driving. Ah cheers I try to give good honest reviews on products I have to help the next person decide if its right for their subjective or objective needs.

  5. Gopd luck getting that alligned correctly once they've settled  mine isnt as low as that but my geometry was properly out and needed rear camber arms and toe bolts to get anywhere back to stock. May even need fronts that low aswell

Looks good though they are great coilovers
