  1. Hi all I searched and found a thread on here posted a few years back about a problem closing the Bonnet on the Zed. I tried dropping the bonnet from various low heights, but ended up pushing down to close. What's the preferred method, is the bonnet happy enough being pushed closed with your hands, just worried about damaging or denting it. Maybe the latch needs adjusting Cheers
  2. Thankyou All sorted just needed adjusting
  3. Thank you just noticed the icon too  I thought my clips were broken too. What I found was the inner pin part of the clip needs to be pulled back (not out) and the collar pushed firmly (REALLY FIRMLY) into the tailgate trim. Then the inner pin can be rotated and hold the tonneau fixing secure. David Yep, like you said then they snap in and turn fine  Thanks
  4. Thank you just noticed the icon too
  5. Hi As above my manual refers to the Tonneau cover being the one attached to the tailgate to hide items in the compartment towards the front. When i search on here or elsewhere it refers to the cover which separates the two compartments. my other question is i'm having trouble re-fitting The Tailgate Tonneau as the screw type fixing goes round and round as if there broken or they need to be attached to the Tailgate. hope im making sense Thanks
  6. Hi all Had a quick search on here, but after a new Arial. I've got a Gun Metal Zed so i think a plain black one would suit. Any recommendations or suppliers i can look up and have a look. I found a spare one in the car, was silver but the paint was peeling away, a plain black rubber one would do for me. Cheers
  7. Yes, any change made from original factory spec needs to be disclosed *awaits 'hilarious' sarcastic comments about disclosing air fresheners * http://www.skyinsura...-insurance.html Hi Do i need to call sky insurance if i decide to change things like the stubby arial, (currently a rather odd bronze colour) or the gear knob as there both a bit tatty. Thanks
  8. I'm loving it so far, i'm still getting to grips with pulling a way, very jolty at first then gets better. Also a few clunks and rattles too, is that just a characteristic of the zed, suppose its very low down so you will hear and feel more bumps.
  9. Hi, i actually went with sky insurance who were very helpful and sorted it, half an hour before having to go to work.. Yes, any change made from original factory spec needs to be disclosed *awaits 'hilarious' sarcastic comments about disclosing air fresheners * http://www.skyinsura...-insurance.html Thanks I Will tell them and hope they don't charge a fee to change, i initially did a quick Google search and the majority said its a maintenance option so not a mod. But im mega paranoid so ill tell them  Ok bad news, my insurer wont cover the K&N filter... I changed insurers because my old one wouldn't cover because no tracker Help... ps, i've got the original air filter, or i try and change insurance Did you tell the insurance company that they add no more power (in fact they often result in a slight reduction on the standard intakes) - the main purpose being to given a different sound  I even tried paying extra, they said its a definite no, so had to cancel with £25 quid fee am i allowed to mention previous insurers to help others
  10. Hi, it was the boot not closed properly, i actually drove for an hour and thinking there's a lot of road noise from the rear. the light was misleading as the image was the passenger door Thanks

  12. Great thanks will have a closer look, just going through the manual also
  13. Regarding the air bag light, i spoke online to Nissan who advised that the car will need to be on diagnostic test to check that Its about £65 inc VAT for the test which is 30 minutes. For peace of mind is it advised going to Nissan dealer rather than anyone else. they would be able to check the door sensor too. I'm based in Chelmsford Essex, and the car is provisionally booked in a Colchester branch next week as Chelmsford is booked up. i would rather not travel to Colchester, and also im not allowed to wait for the car either (loan car free though) Thankyou

  15. The belts you mentioned, are they the ones at front of the engine facing you Regarding the light, its the light in the dash saying the passenger door is open, sorry for the confusion James
  16. Congratulations, you'll love it. You bought it without seeing it in daylight and not asking about service history etc? sorry bit misleading, meant ill have lots of exploring to do tomorrow, has good Nissan history, full service this September (not Nissan)with new disks and pads all round 7 services alltogether
  17. Hi all Took the plunge and purchased a 04 350z GT in Gun metal today.(80000) Very happy so far.. and i'm sure i will find all the info on here, but just a few quick safety questions. 1. Air bag light flashing, and there's a nismo steering wheel in the boot, so obviously has been on the car. i should get this checked out right? maybe the original steering wheel not set right. 2. passenger door light lit, although door closed, is this a sensor issue. 3. intermittent squealing on start up, just looking in the service book for latest service and says + 2x rubbed belts, not sure what that means. Thanks will be back once i've seen car in the proper daylight  Edit: it has a K & N air filter also, is that a mod in insurance terms, thanks
  18. Hi Just gave my insurance company a call regarding a potential 350z purchase, and they said they could not cover without a tracker fitted. I don't know much about these, so any advice on price, where to get fitted. i noticed there's an insurance section on here, so may be worth going elsewhere for a quote Obviously a tracker would make sense at a later date Thanks
  19. Hello I have always loved the 350z, and am considering purchasing one. Is there a general thread on here for a checklist or similar, I have very basic knowledge about the Z, but have a few questions. 1. Should imports be avoided, although i heard they have some plus points. 2. i have a Saab at moment with dreadfull audio, do i need the GT pack for the best audio. 3. i dont mind an oldish model, is pre 06 cheaper tax etc?, looking to spend around £6000 ish 4. any model/trim or age to avoid due to loads of recalls etc Thanks
