Not really had a good look at it yet? I'm guessing light unit and visors need to come off first, is there anything else? Any idea where the clips are?

Quick thread revival! Did anyone actually get around to doing this? Want to remove my headlining and pillars to retrim...

Also worth noting. If you get the wrong festoon LED bulbs for the interior light it can screw the BCM which could = big pounds.

I did read this in the thread but don't quite understand what makes the wrong bulb? The wattage or something?

Thanks for the link! Very useful! I already have some of those very bulbs in my ultraled's basket ready to buy but still looking about!

Usually buy from ultra but have had a few from eBay in the past and no problems really, just put off this morning when i read something abut the numbeplate bulbs breaking, something to do with not having resistors built into the cheap stuff?

Yeah same here, bought loads of LED's over time for my previous cars and it's always pretty confusing with so many options!

Yeah, read the DIY giude for the ribbon fix but I'm useless with any fiddly job such as that so a tad afraid to even have a go myself tbh!

I messaged a user called R35Lee (I think) who I spotted fixes them on here but no idea if he's still about?

May have a go of fixing myself if it comes to it, no harm in trying I suppose

Looking to upgrade the interior, numberplate, boot and sidelights to LED units. Can anyone give me the bulb types for each of these just so I am sure I'm buying the right one's?

Looking to wrap the interior headlining and pillars in a black alcantara or similar material and wondering if anyone has removed these pieces before? If so how easy is it? What else needs to be removed in order to pop them out?

Firstly, looking for some sleeker looking wiper blades for the car to get rid of the big chunky units. What sizes are the front and rear?

Also, want to respray the metal parts of the wiper arms as the paint has chipped and peeled away. Not had a good look at them myself, but are they fairly straight forward to remove and does anyone reccomend a type of paint for them or will regualr spray cans do the job?

Just picked up the new car and the Bose left speaker problem is doing my head in already! Was hoping the fix would be easier than I have since found out that it is so I'm now considering a new head unit.

My first question is, if I was to change for a JVC/Pioneer or similar double din unit, would I lose all my steering wheels controls? Assuming I would, can I get an adaptor to save these? If so how much, where from and how easy are they to fit?

Also, any reccomendations? Really not looking to spend a fortune after just buying the car and needing a service soon. Do I need to ensure the HU is of a certain spec in terms of outputs and amps in order to work fully with the Bose speakers?

Thanks for all the help and welcomes guys, I am now finally the owner of a 54 GT. Had it just a few days and love it already! Few pics below, it's completely standard atm. Will be looking to add a few OEM+ touches to it but a few things to sort out first suc as the PITA Bose left speaker problem and other bits and bobs which I need to get the spray gun out for such as the wiper arms....

Looking to add some subtle touches such as upgrading the interior, side and numberplate lights, wheels refurb, roof wrap, some alcantara wrapping in the interior and an engine bay dress up!

Thanks for all the welcomes! And coldel, thanks for the advice! I am looking for a 276 with the GT pack now as I have a potential buyer for my car and have seen a few with decent aftermarket exhausts i.e. Japspeed, which would save me a job beaucse it would be the first thing on my to do list!

Just signed up as I'm looking to buy a 350Z in the near future and looking for some advice. 21 years old and from Cardiff/South Wales Valleys...

Not sure if this is the best place to post these questions but, mostly just looking for a beginners guide to the various models.

Tbh, I'm looking for cheap thrills as I was quite surprised what you can pick up for like £6K, so looking at early models but I've noticed that they come in 3 forms 280, 300 and 313bhp? My main question is, are all the early 313's imports as I can't seem to get insurance quotes on them?

Also, are there any common faults to look for?

Any advice is much appreciated, cheers
